When do cruisers receive the notification of their dining rotation? In time to make Remy/Palo reservations with knowing that you are not missing Animators Palet or similar?

As noted, you won't know for sure what your rotation is until you check in at the port. However, if you are Concierge, you can request a rotation and you'll probably get it. Many time even non-Concierge can request a rotation and get it, but it's not as sure a thing for those. When do cruisers receive the notification of their dining rotation? We've never requested a rotation. Don't really see the need. Everyone onboard will have the same opportunity to dine in all 3 dining rooms, with the same menus over the duration of the cruise. You aren't really missing anything just going with what DCL gives you.awesome, thanks for the help! whats a good rotation for our family? Me 43, DH47, DS12, DD10, MIL 72, FIL72 to request?
Never really cared about what rotation we've gotten. I don't think there is a bad rotation for any type of family.awesome, thanks for the help! whats a good rotation for our family? Me 43, DH47, DS12, DD10, MIL 72, FIL72 to request?
You can only book one Palo dinner pre-cruise. A number of people try for Palo on Pirate night. You can change your Palo reservation once onboard pretty easily. Can a person book Palo on 2 evenings and then cancel one once on board? Or is there a 'sure-fire' Palo day that most people will try to book, like day 4 or 5?
Honestly, i dont think it is necessary to request a specific rotation. Some people like to be in a certain restaurant for formal night, etc. which is why they request. I believe the menu is the same in all dining rooms for pirate night, so that doesn't matter.awesome, thanks for the help! whats a good rotation for our family? Quite right. Generally, the first 3 nights of a cruise each dining room serves is own Signature menu (that way you get each of the different menus). Subsequent nights all dining rooms serve the same menu on the same night. In total there are 7 different menus on a 7 night cruise. 4 of those nights all the dining rooms will be serving the same thing.Honestly, i dont think it is necessary to request a specific rotation. I agree with you, its important to request a rotation so you know when you will have Palo/ Remy to opt out of a menu you dislike, for example this. You do not want to miss the Animators shows, we have two on our upcoming cruise, so requested a rotation to avoid going to Palo on a night which will miss a AP show.We always book our Palo dinner on Pirate Night because we really do not like that menu and we know we won't be missing any of the other menus
This is true for anything longer than the 3-night. On a 3-night they don't do the Pirate menu, just the 3 rotational menus. The only time I've requested (and received) a dining rotation was on a 3-night so I would have my least favorite menu on Pirate night and know I wasn't going to miss my favorites since I booked Palo for that night. We always book our Palo dinner on Pirate Night because we really do not like that menu and we know we won't be missing any of the other menus
We request a specific rotation because we schedule Remy for a Royal Court night since we really couldn't care less about Royal Court. Additionally, my wife would prefer three nights of Enchanted Garden over Animator's Palate.
Yes. You, or your TA, if you used one.I like the idea of requesting a rotation because i'm pretty set on the days we booked Palo and Remy because of the activities during the day. We are not concierge so if wanted to give that a shot, would i call in to general line for DCL if i wanted to request the rotation prior to boarding ?
