I have read on previous posts and in the passporter that for a group of adults .. the most likely rotation wouold be Lumiere's, Animators and Parrot Cay. If this is true we will be in Parrot Cay both formal and semi formal nights

It seems weird to be in Parrot Cay on formal night and I was wondering if someone could give me feedback if they had formal night in Parrot Cay
Thanks

We almost always have the LAP rotation, so we get one formal night in Parrot Cay on the eastern, and both on the western. To me, it's not really an issue. The waiters are dressed for formal night, rather than with their standard Parrot Cay uniforms. While you still know you're in Parrot Cay, the decor kind of fades more to the background. I don't think it's a big deal, and certainly not worth going through the hassle of trying to change your rotation over.

I've posted the same thing a few times, wondering why DCL would think it logical to give the adult groups the formal in Parrot Cay and give the kids the formal in Lumieres! Makes no sense to me! But no one seems to know the answer.

I just had that rotation on the October 16 sailing, my DH myself and our 17 year old DS. We were seated with a husband, wife and a second grader (7-8 yrs old) I don't think that they look at that kind of thing too closley. I had just posted about your dinner companions and I wouldn't care where I was eating on any given night but I do with they would pair you up better with WHO you are eating with. I mean ages and so on the people were very nice. And we were all OK with it but I just think even the little girl at our table would have prefered another younger person at the table with her.

We had formal night at Parrot Cay due to changes in our saling...orginaly we would have been in Lumiere's but since our ports changed...and the days we were at port changed they switched our formal night from Monday to Sunday....leaving us at PC for dinner. I was a little disapointed at first...but once we were at dinner...I didn't even pay attention to where we were....dinner was wonderful no matter where we ended up. So this next time...I'm not going to be so concerned about where we end up eating.

If we get Parrot Cay for formal night, it would be fine, but I just wonder WHY people with young children seem more likely to get the Lumiers on formal rotation.

I think it alot depends on your itenairy...and what night your formal/semi formal nights are scheduled for.

I also really don't think any of the rotations have more kids than others...just like everyone says late dinning is mainly for adults and older children...where early dinning is for familys with young kids...We had late dinning...and EVERY table around us had young kids...including us. I did not see one table with only adults or older children. Sure we ended up with APLAPLA rotation...and do have 2 kids...but two other families that we became friends with...had the other two rotations...and each of them had young kids...the same age or close to the same age as ours. As a matter of fact...every other family we met with kids our kids age...were on diffrent dinning rotation than us.
