HI,

I know it was posted somewhere, but can't locate the thread...

Before I make my Palos reservations (with REAS), I was wondering if you folks can help me out.

We have a 12 1/2 yr. old, requested early dining (on wait list). What dining rotation can we expect? And, which restaurant would you pass on? We really like Animator's for the spectacle, so PC?

Thanks in advance!

IMHO, I would skip Tritons instead of PC. Triton's is similar in formality to Palo so you are substituting a formal for a formal. Parrot Cay is alot of fun - dancing, music, great environment. Yes, it is loud (like a Rainforest Cafe) - but worth it IMHO. Also, with a four day, you will repeat your first restaurant on the last night. So if you don't want to repeat any, you can do Palo on the last night and NOT miss a single restaurant. Most people have figured that out by the time the ressie rush starts so try to get to the Palo line early to get a ressie for the last night.
Have fun!

Is there a formala to figuring out which order?

On our last cruise, PC was so-so. I think they've changed the menu since then (3 years ago). Isn't the last night the capt. din din, or something. All restaurants have the same menu?

Thanks for the advice tho! We have plenty of time, I just like to be prepared! (Dec. 19th. I need to figure out how to post the countdown!)

I read somewhere that, while nothing is set in stone, if all of the people in your party are adults, you're more likely to get a TAP (Wonder) or LAP (Magic) rotation. With older kids, it's more likely to be APT/APL. And with young children, it's likely you'll get PTA/PLA.

Naturally, all this goes out the window if you end up on a cruise that's young-child heavy...they can't ALL be on the same rotation.

I can tell you (although it's a really small sample size!) that this held true for my previous cruise...2 adults in my party, and we had TAP.

When you check in, look at your KTTW card. It'll have a code on it (like APT or TAP, etc.) that is your dining rotation. Also, as z28wiz said, you'll have tickets waiting in your stateroom that tell you.

It has been rumored that when you book your REAS package that you also can request a specific dining rotation. I did it and I know other people within this forum have also have done it. Some people initially have problems (depends on who you speak to) but have been successful on their follow-up calls. I am on the 7 night Western cruise. - Mike

Someone said, skip Tritons, IMHO, never skip tritons. But we all have a different view. The best is to skip the one you hit twice. Of course.

I was on a four day with similiar aged children and had TAPT - I believe this would be your rotation

BUT

with REAS you can PICK your rotation

a few thoughts
if you request TAPT there will be similiar aged people in the room (I would encourage late seating with an older child since 6 is pretty early on the ship, but that is another thread)

if you do TAPT you can have Palos on your last night (which is not CC on the four day now since there is no Freeport) which would mean you would miss no dining rooms and would have a tremendous evening to end the trip. Also, by that time your child will have made some friends and would be more willing to eat either in the lab or with friends.

Last thought, if you get early seating you could double dip on Palo night (does REAS help get you off the waitlist- betch Debbie at DCL knows!)

Just my opinion
Have a great time

I believe that on the 4-day, you have the same menu from the first night on the last night.

I'm new to this Disney Cruise thing. Our very first cruise is a Land/Sea package December 16th this year.

What is REAS? Will it help me get a reservations for the last night on the ship? I know I will never make it in time to get a reservation because I am staying at the Beach Club for the land portion and the bus doesn't even pick us up until 11:45a meaning we won't be at the port until 12:45 at the earliest.

Romance At Sea. It costs $299 and many feel that making reservations early is worth it's weight. Do a search and you'll find many who discuss the package.

It seems worth it when you get a Palo's, massage for 2, gift, breakfast in the stateroom and rose petals at night and something else, I think...

If you have Land and Sea, I think you can a better package with more for $599.

Hope that helps.
