dining room table, type 1 kids

Our youngest guy is Type 1 Diabetic also, and our dining team was very good with him. Our son is on a pump, so as long as we can dose for carbs we are good. Our head server helped us out the first night by bringing out a Mickey ice cream bar along with the packaging so we could get an accurate carb count Our little guy loved it so much that was what he chose for dessert every night....which made things a bit simpler in the dessert department

I didn't request a separate table but I assume we'll get one since we are a party of 7 already.

But I don't think I would. My T1D isn't even 2 though so he is pretty much oblivious and he is on a pump. We did share a table at Biergarten in Germany in Sept and I just said "he's a diabetic I am just checking his sugar" end of story.

Hello! I believe they are 31 carbs (minus one for fibre) My son had them every night for dessert. It was so nice to be able to say yes to such a decadent treat and to dose accurately for it!

I agree with this. There are times when it will be in public and it's life. My DP is phobic about needles and with a simple "he's going to need a shot" is all that is needed for a head turn. Most people will not even think of being rude about it I would hope.
