OK, I have finally gotten some time to post our dining reviews from our October 30-Nov 4th trip. This was the best trip we have had to WDW. THe food was great. I almost forgot to mention that we were on the dinning plan. Deffenitly worth the money. If you have any questions ask away.

Day One: We arrived to the resort and our rooms was not ready so off to Animal Kingdom. We decided to eat lunch at The Tusker House.

Great place to eat, this is not just a hotdog and hamburger kinda counter service resturant. The atmoshpehere was great, there were African dancers in the courtyard. The only negative thing we noticed was it was very hard to find a place to sit due to people sitting at the tables to watch the show. Overall I would give this CS a A.

I had the Turkey Wrap with corn chowder, this was wonderful. The corn Chowder was the best I have ever had. The wrap also came with grapes. I got cheese cake for dessert, also very good.
My husband had 1/2 rotisserie chick, garlic mash potatoes and veggies. For dessert he got choclate cake. There was so much food we were not able to finish it all.

Half way through the day we went to Magic Kingdom becasue I HAVE to see the castle on our first day at Disney. I had read so much about the infamous Dole Whips I had to try one, my husband got pineapple ice cream in rootbeer(he is a strange one). Very good, a new must have for us.

For Dinner we went to Beaches and Cream. I wanted a No Way Jose but after our food I could not eat any ice cream, I was so sad because we never made it back for the rest of our trip. We both had burgers and onion rings, the burgers were nothing specail, I was excited to try one since I had read so much on the DIS but they were just typical burgers. I will try it agian next time though, I want my NO Way Jose. MY DH also had a rootbeer float. Overall I would give it a B.

That it's for Day One, as you can see we were on the move. Overall great food.

Day Two: The morning begins with Breakfast at Chef Mickey's. My fav. place to fully experience the Disney Magic. I love the characters and the food. We had some of everything, we really like that they offer so many choices for breakfast. Overall this TS gets an A+. LOVE IT!

I actually do not think we ate lunch this day. We had MNSSHP that night and ressies at CRT for dinner.

CRT is my hubands fav. place to eat. He says that it is becasue he loves how the castle is built but I think he just has a crush on Cinderella
We were all dressed up in our costumes and the Cast Members were so great. We even had a little girl want to get her picture taken with my DH.

THis was our view from our table, our ressies were at 6:10 so they were clearing out the park for the party that night.

I had the Seafood Spring Roll and Dh had the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. Both appitizers were wonderful and full of flavor. They also brought out yeast rolls and pretzel bread. The pretzel bread was amazing. Sorry in this pic it is hard to see my appitizer.

For our meal, I had Roasted Chicken Breast - spinach and garlic on a bread pudding with red onion marmalade. I get this every time we go to CRT, I love it. My DH ordered the Lamb Shank - 4-hour braised lamb shank on root mashed potatoes garnished with mint fig jam. He said it was "very good", the meat just fell off the bone.

For dessert we had Key Lime Creme Brulee served with graham cracker biscotti, this was very good but I really wanted the poppyseed pound cake with mago ice cream that I got a couple years ago(the last time we were there) but to my suprise they had just modified the menu. Maybe next time.

Overall the TS recieves an A. Also a family fav.

Just a side note: MNSSHP, was so fun. DO NOT miss this. We thought people would look at us funny because we were dressed up but a lot of adults were dressed up, so dress up and have fun.

I'll post the next two days of our trip tomorrow.

The dole whip (yours, not the rootbeer one) looks yummy. Thanks for posting.

I love the Tusker House too..and who would have known..Lamb at CRT...don't tell my DH :rotfl: . Great Pics :cool1:

My wife and I are now debating because she is swearing me up and down that those shrimp can't be real. Were they really that big in person?

Thanks for doing the reviews.Everything sounds wonderful.I am definitely going to have to try Tusker House.

Great reviews, I love seeing the pictures of the food. The shrimp look spectacularly large! :earseek:

Great reviews, thank you for posting!

I especially liked your Tusker House photos. I didn't realize Tusker House was located in the area that looked like an African village. I loved that part of AK! The food looks great too.

awesome reviews! And I love your pictures. I hope we get a window seat at the castle for dinner next month!

Great reviews and pictures. I have never eaten at Tusker House. We stayed at AKL this past summer and the food court had a corn chowder, that my family raved about. I wonder if it is made the same.

I'm definitely putting Tusker house on my to-do list this summer.

Excellent reviews and lovely piccies.

Thanx for posting.
