Cast is myself obsessed planner who does not like beef (except hamburgers )and DH who eats anything as long as it is not a hot dog or counter service.
Day 1
(Arrived in the late afternoon)
Dinner @ Blue Zoo
This was without doubt the best meal of the trip...our server was great and there were only about 4 other tables occupied. The atmosphere is very cozy and chic..DH has 2 glasses of wine and I had a glass of wine and I had a diet coke as well. DH ordered the fresh salmon with a honey dijon crab sauce (which he said was so good he would have eaten it as soup), and I had the barbequed prawns over cornbread stacks. We also split side orders of the lobster and cheddar stuffed baked potato and the spicy shrimp cole slaw. We saw a picture of the potato on www.ourlaughingplace.com and it was the reason we chose this rest....it was the only part of the meal we did not like LOL...we were too full for dessert...total before tip $106.
Day 2
Breakfast @ Whispering Canyon Cafe
After eating dinner here last year DH was dying to try their breakfast skillet and he washed it all down with a sheriff's shake. I had the Kansas City Hash and ice tea. Food was great (bbq sauce on eggs is something you must try), service was great and WCC is always a fun atmosphere...total before tip $34
Snacks were at the WL Conceirge....nothing exciting but oh so handy just to grap something off of the elevator on the way to the room.
Dinner
Due to staying at the pool too long we did not have time for dinner before Fantasmic so we had a late dinner in the room from roaring forks (this is a bid deal for DH he usually refuses to eat any counter service) I had a cheeseburger and ff's, DH had the pep pizza and a steak and cheese with ff's....my burger was fine DH says his was awful be he sure did eat every single bite.
Day 3
Breakfast @ Chef Mickey's
This was my first time here and I though it was excellent. Service was great, character interaction was wonderful, and food selection was good. I really enjoyed both the breakfast pizza and goofy's pizza. Total before tip was $37.
Snacks
2 cokes and a bucket of carmel popcorn from sleepy hollow....I LOVE this popcorn....total was around $10 I think.
Dh had a beer at the cantina in Mexico, cost was $7.50
Dinner @ Le Cellier
I had eaten here before but DH had never been and wanted to try it. . We both had ice teas and I had a cheeseburger and ff's AGAIN (I know it's beef but you do not really have to chew it like beef, crazy I know) DH had the 14 ounce new york strip steak and the roasted gold yukon potatoes....he said it was the best steak he has ever had hands down. For dessert I had coffee and we split the Chef's Signature Dessert plate featuring the Creme Brulee, Canadian Club Cake, and house-made Sorbet...DH loved the Creme Brulee and I thought the Sorbet was out of this world..it was a sweet/sour rasberry and it was so light and fluffy that is was like sweet liquid air. Total before tip was $68.
More to follow.
