Just finished listening to the Email show.
I wanted to point out how different a review can be. Though Pete did not enjoy Yak and Yeti, I didn't think he should be so passionate in telling people not to try it.
Kevin has always come on threads to emphasize that his experience should never stop someone from trying something. He points out there is so many factors that make for a good experience (atmosphere, service, quality of food, menu variety, etc)
Speaking for my family alone, we enjoyed Yak and Yeti in December. We had a terrific server and everyone was pleased with our meal. We were a large party of eleven, with kids through to grandparents. I had gone back to listen to Kevin's reviews of new restaurants for our trip last summer. Kevin and John had a terrific experience at Yak and Yeti. They gave advice about how appetizers could make a good meal themselves. We made a lunch of appetizers. The variety was good and the prices, while expensive, weren't too bad for Disney.
I know Pete meant well, but he can be harsh with his criticism. I was suprised that John agreed with him, after they (he and Kevin) gave Yak and Yeti glowing reviews. Funny thing, Kevin enjoyed the chicken dish that Pete said were attrosious. And the chicken dish is 17, not 24 dollars.
I point this out not to support Yak and Yeti, but to say reviews are very subjective things.
