Just back. Here are reviews of our favorite and not so favorite places:
FAVORITES:
Mama Melrose's Fantasmic Package - AWESOME. This made the top of a couple of our lists. DH and I had the butcher steak and it was certainly my favorite steak of the week. My DS 10 didn't like the gorgonzola cheese on it. My DBIL had the pork chop and said he could cut it with his fork. My DfutureSIL had a chicken pasta dish and said it was excellent. DS 7 had the kids pasta with cheese sauce and said it was just OK. This restaurant was the quietest of our trip.
Teppan Edo - AWESOME. DS 10 had the NY strip and said it was the best steak he ever had. DH and I had the filet and it was good. DS 7 had the kids chicken and he liked it a lot. The "entertainment" is what really makes this place. We had chef Ken and he was awesome with his twirling of the utensils and interaction with the kids.
La Celliur - AWESOME. The fillet was great. I had the cream cheese mashed potatoes and they were yummy. The kids steak was the best I have ever seen. DS 7 also had a smoothie which I tasted and wish I had gotten one!
Whispering Canyon Cafe - VERY GOOD. We all had the skillet. My DS 10 loved the brisket. We were stuffed. They had all the "shananigans" that were reported and the kids had fun. Service was the slowest here - but by no means bad. Service was EXCELLENT everywhere else.
Chef Mickey's - VERY GOOD. My kids loved this - especially DS 7. Got pictures with all the characters. Pancakes were awesome!
Libert Tree Tavern - VERY GOOD. Kids loved the characters. Loud and screaming kids next to us would be my only complaint. The food was very good. The mac and cheese is what I remember from stouffer's although I know I had read that some thought it wasn't. We loved it. The cobbler was awesome too.
Boma - OK. Noisy and the most crowded of all. Food overall was just ok. The prime rib was excellent and the only highlight in my opinion.
Counter Services:
Sunshine Season's at Epcot / Asia - HORRIBLE!!! Three of us got sweet and sour chicken and all three of us had BONE in it. It was also very greasy. We love chinese and get it a lot - but this was just gross. Noodles were good in my opinion but my DS 7 refused to eat any of his meal after his first bite! (His favorite place to eat is a local Chinese restaurant!)
Pecos Bills / Magic Kingdom - Good. Nothing awesome but burgers were good and the toppings bar was nice.
Wolfgang Puck's / Downtown - AWESOME. My favorite CS. Loved the BBQ chicken pizza. DS 10 had mac and cheese one time and then the chicken - he liked both. DS 7 had the kids cheese quesadilla and said it was OK. Desserts are lacking here in my opinion.
Backlot Express / DS - GOOD. NOthing awesome again but the burgers were good.
POFQ food court - GOOD. Surprisingly this place was good. (I'm not at fan of food courts) The chicken quesadilla was very good. My son liked the pizza. Breakfasts were good. Kids loved the chocolage chip pancakes.
