Me 35,DH 36 DD 10 and DD 6
June 28th : We checked into CBR and headed over to Typhoon Lagoon. My DH and I split the chicken wrap and DD's split the pizza, kids meal came with chips and a drink.Ok food but ungodly price total was 23$ and this was splitting the 2 meals. We did get seperate drinks,so this is what inflated the total. For dinner we headed to ESPN and the meal was outstanding.DH had the hot wings,my DD and I split the steak and DD6 had the mini burgers.Total about 70$ but this included a few beers. We then headed over to Beaches and Cream and I was quite disappointed the room was hot, wall to wall people and frankly looked dirty. We did not stay because the line was out the door and a lady ordered 170$ order to go about 3 people ahead of us.Frankly I was just out of patience and steam. So we headed back to CBR thinking they have ice cream.Wrong they have the novelties and not the ice cream stand anymore,so we headed back to the room.
June 29th :Breakfast at Norway for the princees breakfast. It was neat walking into Epcot without another soul around. We did get some great photos.(I hope.)The food was pastries, fresh friut, eggs, potatoe and cheese casserole, sausage and bacon plus all the apple juice,OJ and coffee you could drink. The princesses we saw were Jasmine,Mulan,Aurora,Snow White and Belle. All in all a nice breakfast and we will probably do again.Lunch was chicken nuggets and fries from a stand over by Canada.
Dinner was at Tony's in MK and was very good but a little pricey. My DH had the fish of the day and he thought it was very good,DD's split a spaghetti meal and I had spaghetti and meat ball.We really enjoyed the bread and dipping sauce they bring out as an appetizer. We will definately return, in fact my10 yo wanted to go again on Wed.Cost around 75$ with tip.Our server was fabulous and kept our glasses full the entire meal.
June 30th: Breakfast poptarts in the room.
Lunch was at CBR food court and this was the only meal we ate there.I just did'nt think the selection was that great.Cost around 30$ for kids pizza meal, turkey wrap, fresh friut and yogurt.Plus we bought a refillable mug but really never used much but with the cost of drinks we did get our money's worth.Dinner was 50's Prime Time at MGM.My DH and I had the pot roast, hamburger for 10 yo and chicken strips for 6yo.We also kicked back a few brews total was about 65$.We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the only problem was the wait.Even with a PS we still waited 25 minutes, which made us late to Fantasmic, where it was standing room only.We will likely return as there ain't much else at MGM that we care for as far as food goes.
July 1st:Breakfast again poptarts.
Lunch was at Tusker House in AK.This was the best counter service we encountered along with the best value of all the parks we ate at this time around. My Dh had the 1/2 rotesierre chicken meal which came with mashed potatoes and green beans.I had the chicken filet sandwich and substiutued grapes for fries. We did the meal certificate which enabled you to get a popcorn or ice cream and drink at any vendor later in the day.The girls got a pizza at Pizzazafari which is just down the lane from Tusker House and brought it back to the TH to eat. They also got the meal certificate and chips with their meal.Total was around 30$.We will definately return.
Dinner was Spirirt of Aloha at the Poly.Cost 171$ This was my BD dinner selection. It was pouring out so the show was delayed for about 1/2 hr.The food was decent not great but not gross either,it included rice, ribs, chicken ,veggies, pineapple, salad and bread.I could have fiiled up on the pinapple, bread and salad. It also came with all you can drink beer and soda. The show was good but after a few songs my DD's were bored. We had e-ride that nite so we left before the show was over.I'd say it still had 1/2 hr to go when we left at 945.The story line was pretty cheesy. The rain gave us the chance to look around the Poly.We did'nt care for it.It needs some major updates. We will not do again. It's a been there done that kinda thing.I hope to one day go to a luau in Hawwaii.
July 2nd: We had no real meals planned and ate at DTD Mc'Donalds for lunch and Pinochio house in the Mk for dinner.Nothing specail to write about either one.
July 3rd: Our last day at the world.Breakfast nothing but ice cream at MGM.Hopped over to Epcot and did a few things we missed and at lunch at the Land.We will not do again. The selections have changed and my girls did not eat well here.I had the veg lasagna and DD's had the pasta meals and ate about 2 bites. They did not like the sauce. We did get them a corn dog and they ate most of that.DH had the baked potato and it was undercooked. The Tollhouse cookies were good though. One thing that happened at Epcot was my DD lost her newly purchase charm bracelet and we were walking back to where she said she lost it and ran into a nice CM who later we later found out was the head of WDW restaurants. He directed us to lost and found and when my DH talked to the CM at the counter he said how did you get him?He is one the top WDW people up there with the big whigs!!We had no idea he walked with us from top of WS all the way to UK,He was very cordial but her bracelet was never turned in.Oh well.I'm going to call main lost and found today or tommorow.
Dinner was at CRT in MK.We waited only about 5 minutes and we were called. We ascended the staircase and had a middle of the room table. This dining room is alot smaller than I expected.I can see why it is hard to get breakfast ressies here.My DH and I had the prime rib DD 10 had the hamburger and DD 6 had the chicken strips. We also go the drinks in the sovnier mug.Our waiter was from columbia and was hard to understand and not very attentive. It was my BD but he kept saying it to my youngset DD.The total was 110$.We may or may not go back.It was neat to see the castle from the inside.Cinderella was in the hall posing for photos prior to our meal.
Hope you enjoyed reading these reviews. They are honest and told like it was.As you can see we clearly had or favorites and disappiontmenst but we still had a truly magical time.I did not include our numerous mickey bars and stops to the main street ice cream shop and popcorn carts. These were excellent of course.
If you made it this far congratulations.Dana
