Overall we had a delicious week. cast is DH, Me, DD (11) DD (2) and DD (1) Here are the highlights. No DDP, I mention this because we heard from both other guests who said their service was awful, ours was great. And from cast members who complained about it. We had some of the best service of any trip. Just a thought.
Sat 4/19
San Angel Inn -
We loved it here. The ceviche was great! Much better than the one at our local Mexican restaurant and $3 cheaper! DH, who was a chef at a Southwestern Steakhouse said it was as good as any he has tasted.
We also had the chicken Tacos and the Mahi Mahi. DH loved the Mahi and I favored the chicken and cilantro tacos.
The salsa was perfect and spicy. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about.

Crystal Palace
I thought this was a great meal. I of course got up first to get food for me and the babies. When DH went 10 minutes later it took him 20 minutes to get through the line. We wanted to be out by 8:55 to ride Dumbo. we actually rode EVERYTHING in fantasyland by 10:30am! Anyway DH didn't get to eat much as he was rushed a bit. he felt that the staff couldn't keep up with the breakfast crowd. He waited and never even got syrup, which was out.
The scrambled eggs were very good.
Spoodles
We had a lovely dinner here. The service was great and we even ran into an old friend who was a hostess. We loved the dips and the moussaka though really spicy was great. The Calamari was fantastic and the focaccia in the bread baskets is unbelievable.
Monday 4/21
Brown Derby
The staff here was great. Our DD's (aka monsters!) were in rare form and they were so nice about it. The food was really great but the enjoyment was a bit ruined by our DD's. Still a favorite of mine.
Tuesday 4/22
Fultons Crab House
This was our favorite meal of the week. It was dead at lunch. The staff was amazing. The food was so good. We had the cold crab and shrimp platter and the crab cakes. Both were delicious. The best however was the seafood cobb salad. It was SOOOOO good. Not to mention the margaritas (both of them
were out of this world.
This is now on our every trip list. Go for lunch if you get a chance.
Wednesday 4/23
Tusker House Breakfast
First off DO NOT DRIVE THERE!!!! I cannot stress this enough. We got there for our 8am breakfast at 7:40am. We were not let into the gates until 7:50am. The man at the gate said that that was normal and that we would have plenty of time. Obviously he does not have a 1 and 2 year old and a stroller. Nor does he walk to Tusker House often! We rushed and were still not at Tusker House until 8:10am.
the meal here was good. Lots to choose from and it was all tasty.
DD's were not crazy about the characters until after they pass. We decided for the next trip to skip Character meals. For us they just aren't worth the cost. However if they would sell the Vegetable quiche separately I would pay for that!
Thursday 4/24
Kona Cafe
This has always been our favorite restaurant. We were nervous about it this trip due to the menu changes. However it did not disappoint! The Tuna was excellent...and the tempura If you are a tuna lover you have to go and try it! DH...again who used to work behind a grill...had the beef teriyaki and said it was perfect. The desserts were just as good. We actually had the volcano tort and the banana creme brulee. We will never doubt this place again. It is always great!

Tony's Town Square
The food was good. I had the chicken parm and the tomato salad (this was excellent). I do want to mention the seating issues. they refuse to put you in the computer until everyone is in the room. Now DH was right outside the door with the babies in the stroller. He wanted to wait to go around and up the ramp until we were going in. We were trying to get them to sleep. The hostesses could see him waving at them. He was obviously there. yet they would not put us in the computer until he entered the room. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Needless to say the girls stayed awake (crabby) and I was rattled and irritated to stat the meal. Why be so difficult?? They kept saying that is our policy. Well it is now our policy to not return. We will go where we had great service and friendly cast members, Thanks anyway!
That is all. We are home now and sad that out trip is over. I am already thinking about our meals in January!
