We (my 23 year old daughter and I) arrived at WDW on Saturday, November 29th and left on Sunday, December 7th. We had a split stay between Shades of Green and Port Orleans Riverside.

We ate at all new places to us except for Columbia Harbor House and the Riverside Food Court. I'm sorry I have no pictures to show you.

Earl of Sandwich, Downtown Disney
We ate here twice, both on Saturdays, 11/29 and 12/6. On 11/29 we ate about 4:00 pm. It was busy but manageable. Seating was easy to find outside. We split an avocado BLT and each had a cup of broccoli cheese soup. Both were good and we each thought we would eat it again. So when we visited DTD on our last day, 12/6 we thought that eating at Earl of Sandwich would be a good ending to our vacation. It was a mad house at 2:00 pm. Seating both in and out were at a premium but we found a table and I held it while my daughter went inside to order our food. She thought about leaving and suggesting we go somewhere else but she didn't. Ordering was a pain and it was a huge crush inside. We shared a chicken wrap, I had a cup of broccoli cheese soup again while she tried the mac and cheese. The chicken wrap was okay but we felt the avocado BLT we had before was much better. The soup was very hot but not as creamy as before. And she said that the mac and cheese was lukewarm and not very good. We might eat here again if given the chance but at a later time in the afternoon.

Mangino's Bistro To Go, Shades of Green
We ordered a cheese pizza to go one evening. We thought it pretty good but it may have been because we were pretty hungry. Whatever the reason, we decided we would order one again if given the chance. It even tasted good cold after sitting in the refrigerator for two days. ;)

Columbia Harbor House, Magic Kingdom
This was a meal that I was really looking forward to. I've been to WDW three other times and always ate lunch here. I was greatly disappointed this time around. Sure it's been 12 years and things change but I was so hoping that this meal wouldn't. What I remembered and what I was served was so different. I ordered the fish and got apple slices instead of fries. My daughter ordered the shrimp with fries. I remember the fish as being such big pieces and fluffy. What I got was something I could get at the grocery store. And the apple slices in the little bag was not something that I would serve anyone but I saw lots of people eating them in the parks. My daughter did enjoy her shrimp and fries. I guess Columbia Harbor House will not be a must go to restaurant for me any more.

More to follow..............

Gaston's Tavern, Magic Kingdom
A stop here was required to taste the cinnamon roll that we had heard so much about. It was huge but sad to say not as good as we had hoped. We think that it had been sitting out a little too long. The outer layers were very dry but the inside was moist. It looked delicious but fell a little outside the mark.

Trail's End, Fort Wilderness
This was a restaurant that I've heard a lot of good things about over the years and was looking forward to trying it. Our ADR was at 6:40 pm. I checked in at 6:25. We were not seated until about 7:10. Lots of large parties of five or more kept getting seated while the smaller parties were left sitting. Some of the smaller parties gave up and left. We were finally seated in the bar area. Our waitress just happened to come from a town not far from where we live.

We were not impressed by the Trail's End buffet. I had high hopes for it and was disappointed. I tried four of the salad offerings and did not care for any. The line to the meats and vegetables was very long and slow. I will say that the brisket and regular mac and cheese were good. My daughter liked the cheese pizza and cornbread.

We felt that this restaurant is in serious need of an update. The buffet line is deplorable in it's set up. There is a lot that could be done to make it more organized and efficient. We both would not eat here again unless something is done to make it better.

Rose and Crown, Great Britain, Epcot
This was the site of our Candlelight Processional dining package. We checked in at 3:30 for a 3:45 ADR. We were seated right on time. As part of our dining package we were to choose an appetizer, entrée and desert.

My daughter chose Trio of United Kingdom Cheese and I chose Apple and Frisee Salad for our appetizers. We liked two of the three cheeses. I liked my salad but my daughter did not care for it.

For our entrees we both chose the Fish and Chips. We loved it!

For dessert my daughter chose something new with bananas and rum in it. She said it was okay. I could taste the rum. I chose the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was okay also. My daughter liked my dessert better than hers. I would not order either again. It's not that they weren't good, I'm just not a dessert person.

sorry you were having a hard time with your food..

I am picky about my fish and fries...I hate something that is fishy or greasy...
We are going to try Rose and Crown for our first time on our next trip..

Thanks so much for your reviews so far

I think it was all luck of the draw. We were trying all new places except for CHH.

The batter on the fish at R&C was greasy but we expected that. The fish did not taste fishy though and the tartar sauce was good. Did not hang with us or bite back if you know what I mean.

Kona Café, Polynesian Resort
We ate breakfast here one morning. Our ADR was for 9:40. We checked in at 9:25 and were seated immediately. I had thought to try the Tonga Toast. I'm not much of a sweet eater especially for breakfast and after I caught sight of one someone else had ordered I decided against it. My daughter wanted to share the Big Kahuna so that's what we did.

She ate the waffle, pancakes and half of the sausage. I had the eggs, bacon and the other sausage half. It was an okay breakfast. My daughter really liked the waffle and pancakes.

Caseys, Magic Kingdom
I love, love, love this counter service restaurant! I had the chili cheese dog with fries and my daughter the corn dog bites with fries. We loved every bite of our meal. Best chili dog I have ever eaten! I've heard that the seating area has been expanded but they definitely need more space. We were lucky to get a spot. Of course, it was about 6:30 pm so I can see why it was crowded.

Goofy's Candy Company, Downtown Disney
I purchased a nut covered caramel apple. It was not bad. The apple was huge and hard to eat. I think it would have been better if I had eaten it the day I bought it instead of a couple of days later. Plus a little salt on the nuts would have been better
