I visited Disney from 9/12-9/26. We stayed one week at Port Orleans Riverside and the second week at Yacht Club. We had the regular dining plan. There were seven people in our party, myself, my parents, my sister, brother in law, nephew (12) and niece (9).

Here is my dining review for my recent 14 night stay at Disney.

Table Services:

'Ohana dinner - We were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation. Service was good. Food was good however not as good as we remembered from the prior year. Everything was served warm. Steak was a little tough. Chicken was delicious.

Biergarten lunch - Seated promptly, service was excellent. Buffet was fresh and had lots of good items. They have the best macaroni and cheese there! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals.

Hoop Dee Doo 8:30pm category 1 - Our table location was fabulous, we were in the second row from the stage. Service was so-so. Our waiter did not seem happy to be there. Food was ok. Ribs were dry. Chicken was overcooked. Show was fantastic though and that is why we went.

Trattoria al Forno - Seated promptly. This was the surprise meal of the trip. It was so fabulous we went twice. Our server was Dale both times, if you go I recommend asking for him. He recommended the lamb and two people in our party got it and loved it. Everything our party ate was great - pizza, chicken parm, steak, pork chop and braised beef bolognese. For dessert I recommend the signature dessert. I do not eat chocolate so they served it for me with raspberry sauce - yum!!! This is one restaurant we will be back to eat at.

50's Prime Time - Seated promptly. Service was good, although he didn't really play up (which was fine w/ the kids in our party). Most of our party got the sampler. It was very good. We were able to get shakes as our drinks. Enjoyed this very much.

Raglan Road - Seated promptly in a snug room off the bar. The table was huge for our party of 7. Our server was very good. Food was excellent. Our party had the Serious Steak, Fish & Chips, Burger R Way, Schnitzel Savvy. The only downsides here were the noise and time. This restaurant/bar is VERY loud. It also took 2 1/2 hours for our dinner for 7 people. Even though we enjoyed the meal, that was way too long for dinner.

Crystal Palace breakfast - Seated promptly, we had a pre-park opening ADR. We were here for my nephews birthday. They decorated the table with confetti and sang to him, gave him a card and cupcake. Food was very good. The omelets made to order were done quickly and very good. Pooh's puffed french toast is a favorite and it did not disappoint. Character interaction was good. It was timed perfect that we finished our meal and saw all characters in one hour.

Captains Grille - Seated about 15 minutes after our ADR time. The service here was awful. My brother in law accidently knocked over my nieces soda. We picked it all up and when we asked our server for a new drink for my niece she began to scold my niece until we said it was her father who spilled it. She was slow and rude. It felt like she did not care because she was guaranteed the 18% tip since we had 7 people. Food was good, but because of her service, we will not be back. Most of us got the strip steak, others got pasta special and Cabernet Braised Short Rib. Food was very good however.

Chefs de France - Seated about 5 minutes after our ADR. The service was absolutely fabulous here, so good in fact that I made it a point to tell the manager on our way out. Food was excellent. Most of us did the three course menu. Their lobster bisque was amazing. French onion soup was very good too. Most of us got the roasted chicken, very good. Kids got the chicken fingers with fries instead of pasta. Everyone really enjoyed this meal an d will definitely be back.

'Ohana breakfast - Seated about 15 minutes after our ADR. Service was good. Food was very good. The breakfast potatoes were wonderful. The sausage is also much better than what is served in the breakfast platters in the food courts. Character interaction was good. They lump all the characters together so we had finished most of our meal before they came around. They had a photopass photographer with Stitch.

Teppan Edo - Love eating here. I know it is similar to hibatchi places you can get at home, however our family loves it here. Everything cooked in front of you means it is all fresh and hot. The steak, chicken, and shrimp were all cooked and seasoned perfectly. Veggies were very good too. It was a fun meal and very good!

Nine Dragons - We stopped here on a last minute whim and they were able to seat us immediately. We were very surprised at how good it was. We started by 3 of us having the hot and sour soup. It is very spicy but good. For our meals we had the fried rice bowl, lo mein bowl, grilled chicken & beef skewers, beef w/ onions & peppers. My niece loved the pot stickers she got with her kids sampler. It was good and a nice change of pace. A good meal if you don't want to make reservations since they tend to always have openings.

Quick Services:

Be Our Guest - This is one of the best quick services out there. The kids are not very fond of this place since it does not have traditional kid items. The adults however love this place. The braised pork, turkey sandwich and carved beef sandwiches are our favorites. Everything was very good. They allowed us to substitute soup for dessert.

Wolfgang Puck Express - My absolute favorite quick service, this could easily stand up to some table services. We ate here a few times on our trip. Favorites are the pizza, meatloaf, mac & cheese and sandwiches. We've never had a bad meal here. I would highly recommend eating here.

Port Orleans French Quarter - Our first week we stayed at Riverside, so we went to FQ for dinner one night. They have a large selection however we were not that impressed. I got the quesadilla and it was very rubbery. Jambalaya tasted like it had been made hours prior and was just left out. We got beignets for dessert, they were good. This isn't somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at.

Peco Bills - stopped here for burgers. They were standard park fare. Substituted dessert for corn on the cob and bottled water. Nothing great but it hit the spot.

Typhoon Lagoon - Ate here a couple times. Had burgers, chicken caesar salad, nuggets. Food was good, typical quick service.

Port Orleans Riverside - we ate here our first night, however we did not arrive until 10pm. We also had breakfast here most mornings our first week. It was good, typical quick service. They were very good about substituting the biscuit for an extra french toast in the bounty platter.

Hurricane Hannah's - We stayed at the Yacht Club our second week. We had lunch by the pool one day. This location is perfect for poolside lunch. I love that they let you come back to get your dessert after you eat. We just got burgers, but they were very good.

Art of Animation - We went here for dinner one night. Most of us got the make your own pasta. It took awhile as the food court was very busy, however it was very good. I've always enjoyed eating at AOA.

Did you preorder at BOG? Just wondering how it worked with the substitution.

Great reviews! I can't believe the waitress had the nerve to scold your niece! Sounds like she would be better suited to 50s Prime Time!

Captains Grille - Seated about 15 minutes after our ADR time. The service here was awful. My brother in law accidently knocked over my nieces soda. We picked it all up and when we asked our server for a new drink for my niece she began to scold my niece until we said it was her father who spilled it. She was slow and rude. great reviews, thank you! as for Captains Grille, how was the waitresses attitude after scolding your niece? I personally wouldve told her where to go and spoke to a manager. for the amount of money youre spending at dinner, as well as how much youre whole family paid for the trip itself, the last thing i want is a waitress with an attitude problem - especially to a little girl! pretty ballsy on her part IMHO!

we have some of the same ADRs so I cant wait -- very excited about Trattoria al Forno. thank you again!

She was still unfriendly and slow. We should have said something but we were tired and all kind of taken off guard. We thought about stopping in the next day to say something but figured at that point it was too late.

Enjoy Trattoria, I really loved it!

THANKS for the thorough reviews!:thumbsup2 Yay to Trattoria Al Forno, on our list; looking forward to it!::yes::

Awesome reviews... thanks! Was debating about keeping my chefs de france adr but will definitely keep it after reading this. :-)
