OK. I know I want to do the Tuesday night Luau on our August trip which I will probably just book before we leave, but I see on the website that you can now also book online for character eats at the 3 hotels. Do they charge your credit card right away or is it just a hold like at Disney? Can I cancel with no penalty? Wonder if I'll be better off just waiting until we get there and see what we feel like doing (which DH would prefer to do)?

We booked the Luau for our June Vacation and they only hold your credit card number and asked if I would just cancel sometime before 4pm on the date of our reservation if we could not make it.

They do take reservations 30 days out for the Luau so I booked out just in case.

Thx. I wonder about the others.....the character eats at the hotels. Did you do any of those ahead of time or just on the fly?
