Okay I now have 3 resort reservations going. One is a week long still but will adjust in a few days after I book my dining, I should still be able to book everything correct?

Not sure I follow your question? Are you asking if you can book dining reservations? Depends on how far out you are from dining dates.

So I have 3 resorts rooms book two are the same resort and another is a different resort. One is still a week long reservation that I will adjust after I book my dining, will having two other rooms be an issue when I go and make my dining or will I still be good and be able to make the entire week.

if you cancel a hotel reservation everything that goes along with it gets canceled, including dining reservations. So you may be able to book dining, but if you cancel your reservation they’ll get canceled too.

That is incorrect. Dining reservations are never cancelled when you cancel a resort reservation. Dining reservations must be cancelled separately. Plenty of people make ADRs every day and don't have a resort reservation. The resort reservation simply opens a dining reservation window, but dining reservations are never linked to a resort reservation.

You will be able to book dining for your week-long stay. Your bigger concern may be shortening the resort reservation. If your room isn't currently available in room inventory, there is no guarantee they will shorten your stay.

Right now it still is, I will be shorting in a few days after my dining is booked.

Inventory changes day to day, especially if you have a discount, since they length of stay and resort/room types available for discounts fluctuate with demand. I agree with the prior poster you are gambling here. We were thinking on changing to a split stay at another resort, waited too long, and poof, the option vanished in MDE.

Also, just sayin, this is very much gaming the system and with Disney they often clue in and add restrictions to close loopholes. Never going to be a popular move on these boards to broadcast your attempts to get an unfair leg up over other guests who honor both the letter and spirit of reservation rules.

You’re right! Holy cow I was confusing it with FastPasses!! - which obviously doesn’t apply right now. So sorry for the mess!

They just have to get guest services involved. I have never had them refuse to shorten it.
