Dining Reservations

I'm looking to make dining reservations for our trip 7/31 - 8/8. Through the Universal Orlando Website, booking is available only through the May 13 -- so a month out. My TA said to try opentable, but I haven't had any success there.

Is there a way to make the reservations now, or do I really need to keep randomly checking to see when my time period opens up?

You don’t need to pounce on reservations. It’s not at all like Disney. There’s no rush and you won’t miss out even if you just make some reservations a few days before. 2-3 week’s out is plenty, if you’re really concerned.

They stopped using Opentable a few years ago and use Nextable now. It’s 30 days max for reservations so you don’t need to keep checking because you’re not going to get anything until 30 days before.

I’m still waiting to make my June reservations but only because I’m one of those people that like to have everything organised even though you don’t really have to at Uni. Its been like this for a couple of years now.

CityWalk and some of the hotel restaurants are on Open Table.

No worries about UO dining reservations! We usually do ours the day or so before online and have no trouble at all. If you stay at an onsite deluxe, your room key gives you preferred seating at a lot of restaurants- no reservation necessary.

Thanks for your help. I was mostly concerned about reservations since we are going during a high crowd time. We are staying at the Hard Rock, so that will help. I look back at 30 days to book a few.
