If you are wait listed and your 180 day ADR is approaching, what do you do? Can I put a deposit on a regular room and then transfer dining reservations when my DVC rental comes through?

We are a large group and trying for some hard reservations so I don't want to lose the on site advantage of booking for my whole trip at once. TIA!

Your dining reservations are not really attached to your room reservation. Anyone can book at the 180 day mark. However if you have a room reservation, you can book 10 days of ADRs at the 180 day mark. Without the reservation you book only one day at the 180 day mark.

Exactly. I'm trying to find a way to book my whole trip at once if I'm on the wait list. I figured it would be easier to get some of the harder ressies :)

Yes, you could book a room in order to get the +10 advantage.

It is nice that Disney does not charge a fee for cancelations. Good luck with the ADRs.

I have to do that for my FastPasses. I picked the cheapest room I can find at All Star Sports to hold the least amount of money hostage. I'm still waiting for my member number after a resale, but it works just fine. For dining, you can cancel your reservation after your 180 day window has passed.
