Dining Reservations System Down???

So I finally get through and the systems are working...However I asked for Cape May Cafe at 5PM she comes back and tells me no, but we have the Biergarten at 5:05. She said the system doesn't tell you what time is available at a place, they have to keep trying different times and places....sounds dumb and unreliable if you ask me!

That does sound crazy - when I called I said close to XXX time as possible and she came back with the closest time.

I call this morning and got everything except HS package at MM had to settle for Brown Derby - nervous on mixed reviews some people said great others said not worth the monye:confused3

By the way, Cape May starts seating at 530!! Once the online system is up you will get to see the crazy choices that come back....they are truly funny!!
 
I just tried calling about something and can't get through at all! It said "all curciuts are busy, try agian later"

Today is the 90th day prior to the beginning of the free dining promotion. That is the main reason for the circuits being busy, the long waits, and the system going down. I expect that it's going to be pretty busy for the next couple of months. Good luck to all!:shamrock:
 

Although it is true that today is the 90 day mark for the start of free dining, any IT department worthy of the name should be doing stress testing of their system so that it does not go down during busy times, it's just basic quality assurance.

I agree; however, this is Disney, and their IT dept. doesn't seem to have ever been ahead of the game. When they went to the new dining system, they had the same problems they're experiencing now.

I agree with both of you. Maybe it is time for some "re-Imagineering" in their IT department. It is not just the ADR system though that is slow...ever try disneyshopping.com? It is excruciatingly slow and they constantly display items which you have to click on first before being told they are out of stock!! Sound familiar to today's ADR issue...wait an hour on hold only to have someone pick up and tell you to call later??

We love Disney but they are making it more and more difficult every year. :rolleyes1
 
The system has been having issues since last Friday....I can't even get a call to go through to them.

Try last Tuesday LOL. I was never on hold long but when the CM tried to make the adr the system booted him out twice. And its not a quick thing to be booted out he would have to log into all kind of different screens he told me.. more secret then Nasa LOL

but keep trying I think with the new Online ADR system its jacking up the CM's system. Servers just cant handle the madness. But keep trying and eventually you will get in.. Sucks I know.. I was a victim LOL
 
So I'm thinking I should pick my best one or two ADR's (CRT and CM), get confirmation then call back for the rest...... It's risky with lines so busy, but I don't want to risk losing everything.......

that is what i did yesterday - CRT, Le Cellier, WCC - got those taken care and then called back later in the day. Yesterday i waited for 1 hour - had just started with ressies - had to call back and wait another hour just to place those, did not want to risk loosing them!! Was only on the phone a matter of minutes yesterday in the afternoon!!!
