Dining reservations over the phone

Hello! I have a question about reservations. I just called T-Rex to see if they had anything available for 10/30 (we are going to MNSSHP for Halloween), and they had many options open for dinner (YAY!). I made the reservation but they did not ask me for a credit card number or even phone number, just my name. Is that standard procedure? I just want to make sure I really have reservations!!! I'll call to confirm as we get closer but I wanted to see if anybody else had the same experience. Thank you!

When we booked directly with T-Rex back in 2013 they only asked for our name also. We had no problem when we checked in to eat five months later, the reservation was right in their computer under our last name. You should be fine!

We called to make Rainforest Cafe reservations, since none were available under the Disney website. They asked for my cell #, and when I gave it to them, they told me that it was our confirmation number.

In a way, this is funny :). We've all been so CONDITIONED by Disney Reservation Numbers, that we forget that this is the way just about every Restaurant on the Planet works :). We call them, they note our name, party size, and a callback number.... and we're Golden :).

T-Rex, and Rainforest are NOT Disney owned... as with a number of other non Disney owned Restaurants, they can sometimes confuse us by treating us like humans, rather than key punch codes :).
