Dining reservations - help!?

Okay so today is our 180 day mark (trip is May 30 2012).

I have managed to create an account with the USA website, linked it to our 12 digit number from Virgin and it has even managed to recognise who is in our party. It's telling me I'm 180 days out and I should be making dining reservations.

Fine, I hear you say. However, the only date I can book for is 30 May - no plus ten days! And we aren't even booking for the first day.

Frustrating! Any ideas what I can do? Otherwise I will just call them tomorrow!

Have you clicked on "I want to use my dining plan to book reservations." on the restaurant page.

You will see the link to the left of the "search for a table" button. Then you sign in and take it from there.
If that doesn't work there must be a problem with the site. We can't check without a reservation in the next 180 days.

I had the same issue, so my advice would be just to call.
I tried emailing the address it suggests but they literally didn't have a clue.

Hope its sorted for next month, I will not enjoy doing 10 days of ressies by phone, took almost 90 mins last time I had to do it, online was 10 times easier.

Use a 1p/min number if you are ringing US, I used telediscount again on Wednesday no problem.

I think I've sussed the problem out - basically I can log in fine and see my hotel reservation on the USA website - however its saying I have a "Magic Your Way" package booked (without the dining plan or transport!) therefore if that's the case I obviously can't link it to my dining plan (it's QSDP anyway). However that doesn't really explain why I can't book any restuaurants in advance - I've managed to book for 31/05/2012 but tried to book for 01/06/2012 and nothing :

If you only have QSDDP then you probably can't book +10 days at 180 days. QSDDP won't give you access to the reservation system will it? maybe someone else can advise who use QSDDP.

Well all of the above makes sense!

I just assumed it was tied to your room and 12 digit confirmation number, not the actual dining plan. If they have changed it so you can only book 180 days out that seems a little unfair because we are still resort guests after all.

I'm going to give them a call when the kids are in bed to find out (they don't know we're going!) then I will post and let you know what happens

Wayne, with Disney anything is possible You may be right and we just missed the news. I agree that it would be more than a little unfair, but as I say, not too much comes as a surprise with Disney

Hi we are staying at the Yacht club from the 30th may 2012 too and also was unable to book the +10 online too and it took 28 mins to book 11 ADR's wasnt too painful and i got nearly everything i wanted within 30 mins, only thing i couldnt get was Fantasmic dinner package at Mama Melrose as she said they hadnt been released yet.

28 mins is excellent, last time I tried to do 10 it took almost 90 mins, the first 20 mins just to find my reservation.

Last year they said they could not do Fantasmic by phone but we were able to online by manually entering the date, the autofil wouldn't let you book(which is the way Disney try I assume)

I already had my US reservation number, they did all the bookings and then went back and confirmed them and gave me my adr conformation number and then 5 mins later they were there showing on my disney account but i was still unable to make any ADRs online past the 180 day mark!

So apparently the reason I can't do it online is that we don't have a "qualifying reservation" - i.e. 180+10 is apparently only available to those on DDP.

What a sucky disadvantage... but never mind - I'll just be logging on daily and doing it online!!

It is a sucky disadvantage for you as it has been a pain for you to make your ressies, however keep checking. According to this thread, it is a systems problem and not a new policy. As soon as they have it resolved you should be able to book the remainder of your ADRs online in one go

Oh thanks for that link just had a look and that's a slightly different problem to mine - I can link them for 180 days but not for 180 + 10 IYSWIM!

Actually some of them were having +10 problems as well. Let me make sure it was all in that thread as there are a few on the board

Have a look at post #6 in the link above. Apparently on top of some not linking at all, others were unable to do the 10 days. Hope they fix it soon
