Dining reservation question

My family is going to the World late Jan early Feb. We currently have package deal with Pop and DDP. ADR reservation line opens Oct. 27th. for our trip. There is a possibility that we may be able to get/use a friends condo in Orlando area while we are there but we won't find that out until Nov. If the Condo doesn't come through I don't want to cancel our current plans. If I do reservations for DDP then cancel my package does it automatically cancel all the dining reservations I make also? There will still be rest. like O'Hana's and Boma that we will want to go to regardless if we stay on property or off. Does anyone know if they cancel your ressies automatically?

No. Your ADRs are not automatically canceled if you cancel a room or package reservation.

So if I make our ressies for the DDP and then the condo arrangement comes through I would need to call and cancel any reservation I don't want but keep the few I want to have. Is that correct?

Yes. ADRs are separate from Resort stays and whether you have the DDP.
