Dining Reservation Queries

Hi all

I've booked the Holiday Tour at 3pm on NYE and am looking forward to the reserved seating for the Christmas parade, amongst other things.

I see on the Holiday Tour threads that down at IASW the Christmas Parade finishes around 6.30pm but the only time I could book a reservation for Carnation Cafe was at 6.40pm. So my first question is can you arrive a little late or do you have to be there on or before time?

For my second question: if there's a line laughing: of course there'll be a line) and you've got a reservation, can you go straight to the front of the line to let them know you've got a reservation or do you have to wait in line?

I would try your best to be on time, I've never arrived late so I can't speak to whether or not they will wait for your arrival.

As for the line, typically the walk ups line is off to the side (or it was the last time I ate here) you'll go directly to the CM at the podium and if you have a reservation they'll check you off and show you to your table if it's ready.

If you are late, you may very well lose your table and end up waiting behind walk-ins that arrive between your scheduled time and your actual arrival time. I'd aim to be on time.

NYE - If you miss your time, you will lose your slot. And you wait in the line, as that is everyone else checking in. On NYE there will be very few walk ups. They will only be using walk ups to fill in the no show spots. I would suggest going first thing in the AM and explaining the situation to Carnation Cafe and see if they can move your ressie. Figure you won't get there until at least 730p.

I'm sorry, I was thinking of the wrong line. At Carnation Cafe, you walk up to the podium. (Cafe Orleans, you wait in the line.)
