Dining Reservation Glitch?

I just attempted to make a party of 3 breakfast reservation for Oct 7 at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Disney's site timed out before getting to the select a time screen.

Once it finally loaded, it gave an option for 9:05, 9:20, or 9:35. I picked one and clicked "reserve".

Disney's site timed out.

After going back through it all, it said that there were no reservations available.

Did all the tables for all three times book in less than five minutes, or does that sound like a glitch?

The site also claims that Trail's End is booked solid, too, which I find INCREDIBLY hard to believe - even if it is during free dining.

Thoughts, anyone? :confused3
 
I just got this error message:

Sorry, our system is currently experiencing high volume and we were unable to process your request. Please try again. If you receive this response several times, please try returning at a later time.

Really? High volume at 1:00am? :rolleyes:
 
I keep getting a different message. Mine says "Sorry, there was an error when searching for availability. Please try again."

I've gotten this three times now so I guess that the system is messed up. Bummer because I like to look for openings late at night.
 
I haven't been able to get it to work in two days. It keeps timing out. Had to call dining yesterday and have to call back this morning again I guess. :(
 

I had been trying to tweak my ressies all week, and always after midnight CST, and it was doing the same thing...timing out, giving wrong info, etc. I think the system has some problems after a certain time because I tweaked during the day today and everything worked fine.
 
I had something like that with 50s PT. I went back in and there wasn't any time available. Then I went back and checked my reservations. Probably wasn't available because I had 2 ressies in lol! At least I have my ADR! Canceled my extra one of course ;)
 
OP: check your ARS online. I bet you have at least 1 already, from what you described.

Also, I've noticed that the system doesn't work too well late at night. I'm guessing it's because that's when they do their system maintenance and upgrades. I think theoretically it's supposed to be 24 hrs, but in practice, not.

Prefer calling up and talking to a person, there systems isnt that great no matter what you are looking for but the dining is the worst :scared1:

yesterday I was searching for a res. for 'Ohanas and when I found one (the only one in the week we are there) I clicked on reserve and it stayed on the do not refresh or hit back button for 10 minutes. so I called dining and she checked...not showing, she told me to close my browser page and it still didn't pop up... she had no openings... and when I went back it showed, I again hit reserve this and this time it said it was no longer available.:sad1:
 
I stayed up after the baby went to sleep last night, thinking I would make some ADRs. Nope. I kept getting the 'time out' message, too.
 
I haven't had the timed out issue, but I have had a few times when I couldn't get a reservation for a place that was usually not that popular. When my travel agent would try, she got better availability... So, if you want someplace and are having trouble AND have a travel agent, try that. She said they get more availability options.
 
The past couple of reservations I've made have timed out, but when I go and look under My Reservations; they are there. Guess I've been lucky that I got them!
 
Just an FYI..

I work IT at my job and all sites are "24 hour"... but i will say that server processes, ie drive defragmentation, backups, database maintenance, all that fun stuff usually starts around 1am and runs through the night..

The servers can still run during these processes but at a limited capacity.. Mainly because IT thinks that no one if just a few people will actually use the system... My suggestion would be try around 10-11pm and see if that makes a difference..

:worship:OMG! thank you so much for saying this! it never even dawned on me to look at "my reservations" especialy since I had called WDW-Dine and she didn't show it...but I just looked and there is IS!!! thank you so much...I can't wait to talk to my husband tomorrow (he's a firefighter and he's at work and might not appreciate a call at 1 in the morning) :rotfl: but he's gonna be thrilled we got 'Ohanas! thats his favorite place! thank you:woohoo: thank you :cool1:thank you!!!:worship:
