Dining reservation before park opening

I was wondering about booking a dining reservation before opening hours. Where do you enter the park, is there a separate line to go through? Each time I arrived before park opening, lines were already formed for entrance, so just wondering the logistics of this and do you need to bring a printed confirmation of reservation?

Also, for anyone who has done this, were you typically out of the restaurant before any rides opened?

There is a separate line, it will be marked with a sign and a CM will have a list with your name on it for any pre park open ADR.

I always have my ADR #'s with me, just in case.

Depending on the restaurant, and if you get the earliest ADR, yes, you can be out early enough.

I just realized yesterday that we have a BOG ressie before the MK opens! Are their photopass people out that early?

I'm not sure if there are, but I've heard it's a great opportunity to get pictures in front of the castle without a bunch of people around.

Don't recall for certain, but I don't THINK I've seen Photopass people at least in the MK before normal park opening. I have some pictures looking down Main Street at the castle without any photopass people in them.

Line usually forms either to the far right, or far left of the turnstiles for morning ADR's. Last time I was at MK (last August) it was to the right. There are signs. As mentioned above, there will be a CM with a list of names. That has always gotten me in, but I also keep a list of ALL of my ADR numbers / times / locations on my smart phone. Google Documents is a GREAT tool for planning, sharing, and having all the information quickly available if there is a problem.

Photopass has been out every time we've had an ADR before park opening (many times over many years). With all the cuts I've heard about lately, anything is possible though.

PP people have been out prepark opening on my trips too - every time.

No kidding about the cuts though!

I could absolutely, positively be wrong about pretty much anything at pretty much anytime . .. . or at least about the PhotoPass people
