Hi-

Here are some brief dining reports from our abbreviated anniversary trip:

Wolfgang Puck Cafe - pretty good, all-around!! I had the fettucine wolf-fredo, which was delicious.... DH had sushi and a pizza - he commented that they were both OK, as well. He really enjoyed the pizza, but he said that the sushi at CG was much better. Honestly, I can't go into too much detail here - we had a bottle of wine while we were waiting for the table...and then ANOTHER bottle at dinner, so my memory of the night is slightly impaired ;).

California Grill - This was our third time here, and it was just as wonderful as ever. To start, DH and I split the goat cheese ravioli and a sushi platter. I am in the middle of chemotherapy right now and can't eat raw fish, so we requested that half the sushi platter be vegetable or cooked fish sushi, and it was. Our fabulous waitress was VERY attentive about this, which I really appreciated. Four our main courses, DH had the tamarind beef filet (also my favorite, but I couldn't bear to order it well-done - again with the chemo!!), and I tried the pork tenderloin with creamy polenta. The beef filet was wonderful, perfectly done. The pork was also great, but I still like the tenderloin better...next trip!! the creamy polenta was unreal - making me forget about my lack of sushi and rare beef filet for a while! We had the hazelnut chocolate crunch pyramid and the apple tart for dessert, wonderful. This remains the end-all, be-all WDW restaurant for us - we can't wait to go back.

Tempura kiku - we had lunch here on our last day, and it was fabulous. I had the shrimp, scallops, and skwered chicken, and DH had the combo lunch, which included tempura and sashimi. This place was wonderful - and half empty!! The seafood was delicious, but I was amazed at the little chicken skewers - the chicken was marinated, then dipped in tempura batter - wonderful flavor. My meal was around $12, and DH's was $13 - each included soup, steamed rice, and the somewhat large plate of food - a pretty good deal!

Next trip - we will try a full meal at Jiko!!!!

Thanks for the reviews. Glad you were able to enjoy your meals.
CG has a fine wine list--did you get wine that nite??

And by all means--try Jiko's!

Thanks for the reviews! I'm so glad the staff at CG was able to accomdate your health needs - you will just have to return in the future and get that sushi and rare beef!

:D Good luck with the rest of your chemo - hoping you will have a speedy recovery! :D

Thanks for the report! I agree with you 100% on CG! :)

Best of luck with your chemo!!!

Thanks for the great reviews. I totally agree with you about CG.

When the chemo is done I hope you head right back to Mickey Land and have sushi, beef and everything else you've had to pass on this trip. I also vote for Jiko as a neat experience.
