On the DDP, are we given receipts that itemize our meals? I want to keep track of everything for my trip report, and I was wondering if I need to write what we order, so I don't forget. Also, for tracking purposes are the menu prices shown on the receipt?

For example Menu item listed as "Eggplant Rotini". Now I'm sure I'll remember I had eggplant, but might not recall the official name. Will it be on the receipt?

I will have my handy dandy notebook, but I'd like to spend the least amount of time writing notes, and the most time enjoying my family and the glorious food!

I asked this question too and this is what I was told: You will get a receipt at table service meals but you won't at the Counter Service. So be prepared there to jot down the total they tell you.

On DDP this March, our receipts for CS and TS were all "itemized", but all dollar totals were 0.00. I saw the totals for a few meals, but the receipt you get to keep shows none.

At the TS the receipt shows what you ordered, although not the official name. The price will show 0.00 so you will have to remember how much everything is.

As I recall, the CS was the same.

I just jotted down notes on my receipts last week. You get a $0.00 receipt at CS and TS both, so when I signed for my receipt I asked the CM the total and wrote it on my copy right then.

If you're concerned that the receipt doesn't give you enough info, just take a pen and jot down "Rottini" next to "eggplant" while eating. Kept me from carrying a notebook or anything else.

I put all my receipts in a pile in my pocket or backpack, then sorted them and totaled while sitting on the tarmac for the flight home. Guy next to me had his laptop and sorted/cropped all his pictures while waiting. Guess you could type up your trip report, too.

Why don't you just print a copy of the menu to take with you and mark on it what you have?

Why don't you just print a copy of the menu to take with you and mark on it what you have?

This is what I'll be doing and filling it in every night when we get back to the resort. It's much easier than jotting down notes in the restaurant, plus that is extra time that you could be taking pics of the food
