Ok, we're booked & ready to go 9/23-9/30 at CBR w/free dining! Can't wait to go but I'm so intimidated with planning ADRs, character meals, etc. Would like to do 3 character meals (1 breakfast/1 lunch/1 dinner), and 2 nice dinners for as well for me, DH & DD (4). Any suggestions on what to do. Which Cinderella meal is better, breakfast, lunch or dinner? How is Chef Mickeys, Donald's Breakfastosaurus, Mickey's Backyard BBQ? Heard Coral Reef is great for dinner, Capt'n Jacks, Beach Club Buffet. Any and all suggestions and help would be really appreciated. I'm a first timer ! Thanks. :cool1:

ok, I can only help a little bit. Last year was our first year and my DD were 3&6. We did Chef Mickeys for dinner and it was GREAT. The characters were really great, you saw them lots of times and you were not rushed in and out at all. I was a little nervouce about the food because I read so many people on here that did not like it but we actaully really enjoyed it. It is buffet but it was all hot and freshly replenished and quite tasty.
We also did the Princess Lucnh in Norway. The food was ok (my DD had "uncrustables" and grapes) I think they may have revamped that so check ot the menu. The atmosphere was cool and the princesses were great too. They only came by once but they did not feel rushed to me.
Thanks all I can help with. We are trying CRT for lunch in August, as well as LeCellier, Ohana, SciFi and HoopDeeDo all for this first time this trip.
Good luck with the rest of your planning

My family has been to Disney 3 times and we are in the midst of planning our 4th trip. Chef Mickey and LTT at MK are our favorite character meals. I just feel that these dining experiences we not rushed. If meeting Cindy is a must breakfast or lunch at the castle is fun. We actually dined at Cinderella's castle for dinner ( no charactrers ) and had so much fun. Our absolute HATE IT meals are the Hollywood and Vine at MGM and Donalds breakfast at AK. We loved the food in at Princess Storybook breakfast and the characters stay as long as our children seemed interested.

Our other fav meals were California Grill, Coral Reef and Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Just remember to relax and know that regardless where you choose to eat - it will be a magical dining experience.

As far as Character dining goes, 1900 Park Fare is Great for dinner. Liberty tree tavern is also great. We have done the Princess breakfast in Norway..it was pretty good, the princesses didn't spend much time with my dd's though. Crystal palce is good for breakfast ,and we loved Donald's Breakfastosaurus...the character interaction was really good. Now there is a breakfast or lunch with Jo Jo and Goliath and June and Leo from Little Einsteins at Hollywood and Vine..we are trying it in August.
For a nicer diner we all LOVE Le Cellier, make sure to try the Cheddar cheese soup..yummy! Good Luck!!!!

Just got back a few days ago - what a blast! We booked both Chef Mickey's (breakfast) & Breakfastasaurous (spelling??) and have to admit that we liked the food at Chef Mickey's better, but enjoyed the experience with our waiter "Mikeasaurous" at Breakfastasaurous so much more. But be aware - I'm fairly sure the only place you're sure to find Donald Duck is at Breakfastasaurous, NOT at Chef Mickey's. We also really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Coral Reef. We booked an early lunch there so had no problems getting our waiter to move us from the third tier right down next to the tank glass. Have you considered Garden Grill in Epcot's Land Pavillion? The food was served family style & was delicious, too. But if your little ones are picky eaters, best to try Liberty Tree Taven in MK for dinner - meal is also served family style, but included mac & cheese & mashed potatoes, ham, the works. Enjoy your trip!!!
