Hey there, going back in Oct with our 2 kids (3 & 5 months at time of vacation). And had a question about dining with our newborn. We are not bringing our carrier just the stroller. Will we have a problem bringing the stroller in with us at the table???

Here are our TS plans:
Akershus Princess Breakfast
Whispering Canyon
50's Prime Time
1900 Park (dinner)
Via Napoli or Rose & Crown

Thank you for your help

I think the official line is no strollers in the restaurants. But we travelled with a 4MO and no carrier and had no problem rolling our stroller up to the table. At the time, it had not occurred to me that I would not be allowed to bring the stroller in, but at 4MO, the baby could not sit in a high chair. Our stroller was a Peg, so it was not gigantic and we never had a problem with space. I would have been willing to wait for a table in an appropriate spot if space had been a problem.

Some of these restaurants just don't have room to allow everyone to bring in a stroller. Tables are very tight. Example: Akershus tables are close enough together that it was difficult for me to even push back my chair to leave the table. There's no way a stroller would have fit in there. Rose & Crown is also very tight. The others have a bit more room but if everyone wanted to bring in a stroller, it would be packed.

It probably depends on the restaurant. The only restaurant we ever took a stroller to the table was at California Grill. Our DD (she was about 1.25) was sleeping and the person who checked us in on the lower floor insisted that we just keep her in the stroller so we did. Plenty of room, but I definitely felt odd with the stroller at the table.

We also had the same sleeping DD at Narcoossee, but this time, we didn't have our stroller with us. It was just DH and I and the baby as we took older DD to Simba's clubhouse. The baby fell asleep on the way over. The hostess told us to bring our stroller in for her, but alas, we didn't have one. DH held her in his arms for his entire meal.

Again it depends on the restaurant and how crowded it is. We went with 4 mo old GS a few years back and we put him in the highchair and stuffed our sweatshirts around him. You may be able to get a booth and if he is asleep lay him next to you also.

I agree with others; it depends on restaurant. We've been down with our children at all different ages, and haven't ever taken a stroller in as we just hold them or wear them in a sling, however, at a few restaurants, notably Chef Mickeys and Trail's End, CM's have asked us if we wanted to bring the stroller in with us. I've seen others do it, and it seems like its a tight fit.

Good luck to you!! :-) Have a great trip!!

You may want to invest in a wrap of some kind, if you do not already have one, to bring along. There is no way to know ahead of time if you will be allowed to bring your stroller into each restaurant or not. It just depends. A wrap would be handy for those times it is not allowed. Also if you bring a carrier along, they will not let you upend a chair and use that for a base. I'm not sure if that is the type of carrier you have, but wanted to let you know Disney does not allow them to be used that way.

Nice to know, thank you

And thank you for all your responses
