Dining points expiry?

I have a strange question, hopefully someone could help me.
If I was to take advantage of the free dining like so:
3 day stay at disney resort for 2 adult
1 day base ticket
= 6 dining points
Does that mean all the unused dining points will expire on the last day of our stay?
or can we use them afterwards?

Since we're dvc members I'll be moving to a dvc resort afterwards and just in case we don't use all the dining points i wonder what the official rule is.

they are good till midnight of the last day you checkout.

Therefore, you cannot use it afterwards, say the next day.
