Our vacation is fast approaching and just was reading about the dining plans....has anyone done this...it sounds like it might be a good deal especially if you are planning a character breakfast or dinner (which we are doing both)....we will be there from Tues June 28-Sunday July 3rd.....have a 5 day hopper as Sunday we fly home early in the AM.

Looking into the Minnie 5 day plan...any thoughts? I already have a package with DL to include SD and staying at the DLH...thanks~

I don't have any first hand experience to share with you as I'll be at Disneyland about the same time as you. I have a package and did decide to do the dining plan. From what I can tell it is neither a "bargain" nor "more expensive" to do it this way. I just found it conveneient to know that most of my meals will be paid for. Since we enjoy more sit-down experiences I realize I may still have some food costs beyond the package. We love character meals so figured it was buying things we would pay for anyway!

Does anyone know if you would get a disount on these dining packages with either the AP or Disney Visa discount?

Just wondering about the dining plans. I understand that they are only good for dining for inside the parks, is this correct? Haven't purchased these because of it. Had a TA who only deals in Disney tell us this(recently).

Yes, this is true....besides Goofy's Kitchen. :flower:

My travel agent told me I would be able to use the vouchers on all of Disney property: all hotel restaurants and some of Downtown Disney. Was I misinformed? (wouldn't be surprising)

We had the 5 days meal plan on our trip in February. The redeeming feature of the plan is that it's prepaid.

We did not use one of the the Breakfast in the Park vouchers. It would be more beneficial if they just gave you more straight vouchers rather than the BITP ones I think. We ate at the hotel before rope drop and the BITP vouchers had to be used before 11 so it was hard to want a 2nd breakfast.

And no you cannot use them in Downtown Disney. Just in the parks and for the character meals.
