Dining Plan

Does anyone know if the new dining plan is available to DVC owners and renters.

It is only available with packages that include room & tickets. Since DVC points stays are not packages, dining cannot be added. If you book a DVC resort room package through CRO, could could add dining, MYW tickets are included in the pacakge. One thing to consider is that you get a much lower room rate if you rent DVC points Sunday to Thursday, if you add your dining costs you would probably still be ahead vs paying $35 per person per day.

I am a little confused about this whole package thing though. Right on the Disney sight it suggests that if your stay is going to be x number of days long, you could buy an annual pass. If you have an AP, then you won't need a package, and you couldn't get the dining option......This sounds like a conflict of information......

Do you have to have the MYW tickets, or can you add the dining plan onto a cash reservation made through CRO? If you are staying in a DVC property on points, purchase the MYW passes, can you add the dining plan? (I think I know the answer to this one)

You have to buy the package including MYW tickets in order to add dining. You cannot add dining to room only through CRO (including AP discounted rooms). You cannot add dining to a DVC reservation because it is room only.

And the packages charge full rate for the rooms, currently there are no discounts on package roms, except for AAA...and those must be booked through AAA travel services.
