I was wondering since I booked the free dining bounce back last year when the tip and appitizer was still included. Do you think I will be able to get those perks still? I think I should as I purchased with the impression it would be the same dining plan I had when I booked the bounce back. What do you think? If I go to disney and order an appitizer and state I am bounce back do you think I will get it included or do you think it will just be alot of back and forth with the waiter and managers? Think I should bring it up when I check into my resort maybe they can give me something to say I am entitled to these? Let me know your thoughts.

I would have to guess that since you are participating in the 2008 dining plan, you will have to abide by those guidelines.

I booked my free dining last year in Sept. for this coming Sept. and it was clearly stated that it did not include tip, or an appetizer. so I do not believe talking to anyone whould get that for you. I can't remember if it was also in the fine print on the flyer, but I was made aware that it was a new plan. At that point , they even told me about the upgrade to the deluxe if i chose. surfweb:

i think they will make us go by the new plan but I have both flyers they had in the room and both have nothing listed about the new plan. being what we where purchasing. I can post the flyers if anyone is interested.

Before I agreed to the BB I read all the details of what was included.
I still think it is a very good deal. I'm glad we booked the BB because
now we don't have to wait until April and see if it will be offer or not.
FD will save us $1215.00 (we will have 2 Adults and 2 DisAdults).

The brochure simply says you get the Dining Plan for free when you book one of the packages. I don't see anything on it that states the dining plan includes appetizers and tips. :confused3 I understand your disappointment in the change, but there's probably nothing that can be done about it.

When you (and I) booked the Bounceback for 2008, we were booking the 2008 Dining Plan, whatever it may be.....which was no appetizer and no tip. The new plan had already been decided and announced.

It does not say on your flyer that they are included or that Disney was offering the 2007 plan......in late 2008. We got those flyers and they will not support your argument.

It is up to the "buyer" to know what the plan included. Others on here can quote dates, but my understanding was that no 2008 packages were booked until they had made a clear statement that the plan had changed. Everyone who booked for 2008, booked the new plan.

When I booked it they were very very clear (as if reading down a script so as not to miss a thing) that they are no longer included appetizer and tip in the 2008 plan, and I was offered alternative plans as well for an additional charge.

I can't even imagine complaining about it when it is complimentary dining, and all they are asking you to do is pay the tip :confused3 and rack rates. Now folks did need to determine if it is a value to them depending on where they are staying and what those rack rates were (as always)...... and those who have to pay for the dining plan, now need to determine if it is a good value for them to continue to use it since they must tip and lose the appetizer.

I am perfectly happy with the Bounceback offer :thumbsup2

I see your point. Disney does have an argument that it says 2008 dining and that includes what it inlcudes. I'm just one of those that are upset they changed the plan. Hope they change it again next year for the better. The original plan was such a tease.

I booked the Bounceback dining and I was specifically told when I booked that the plan had changed, so I knew what that I was agreeing to the new changes. I still think it's a great deal! I just made my ADR's this morning and got everything I wanted!

I also remember when I booked BB last year that my CM clearly stated that tip and appetizers weren't included anymore and informed me about the new deluxe plan and the wine plan.

I just made my ADR's this morning and got everything I wanted!

Me too and I'm now officially SOOO EXCITED!!!:dance3:

If they were to let the bounceback people have the 2007 plan in 2008, they should let everyone who booked their packages in 2007 for 2008 get that plan (tip + appy), free dining or not. When we booked our vacation for Feb 2008 in Dec 2007, they never told us that the dining plan was changing. We had read about it on the website and expected it to be the same as 2007. Even when we checked in, we were not told of any change. But anyways, I would be happy to get free dining at all! You can pay OOP for the appy if you want it and still be saving a considerable amount of money.

Your brochure does say 2008 Dining Plan. It was pretty well publicized what the changes were.
I do not think you are entitled to the 2007 plan elements.
Making a scene with the waiter and manager will only make you look silly, upset you, and it won't change the components of the 2008 plan.
If you are that upset about a free dining package you booked, you can cancel completely.

NO, as all the CM's selling bounce back (special #) at the end of your booking would read a statement. It indicated that there would be no appitizer and tip was not included.

You are getting a free 2008 dining plan ...................
