dining plan - $$

i am having trouble finding any listing of the actual cost of the DDP. does anyone know the actual cost for adults and children for this offering? also what is the cost of the deluxe dining plan?

we are trying to plan our trip this year; not sure if this is the right plan for us...

I think the regular plan is $37.99 per adult per night of your reservation. I forgot the price for children between 3 and 9. My little one could not be included in the dining plan because he is under 3, but we are doing all buffet meals and family style for TS, where he is free to eat there. For CS he can easily share with us (I don't eat large amounts for lunch, plus it will be super hot in July and I will be less hungry than usual).

I am not sure about the deluxe plan pricing. We considered that one but it was just way too much food for us, plus with such little boys like we have, the character meals were the reason for choosing a dining plan, and we are able to do 5 of them for our 5-night stay. Decided to pay OOP for the extra 2 breakfasts, still costing us a lot less than the deluxe plan.

The price is $9.99 for children 3-9. Children under 3 can eat off an adults plate or you can pay for a meal for them. Adults are $37.99 as mentioned earlier. Disney offers a deluxe dining plan as well but I'm not sure how much that is.

If it helps, my TA priced both for us and if I remember correctly......

Okay, we are staying 5 nights and I think the deluxe plan would have cost somewhere between $350 and $400 more for the entire trip! We would not have saved any money with that option for our trip (no signature dining or dinner shows planned here) so it did not pay for us to do the deluxe one. My TA actually talked me out of it. You see, I am used to going on cruises, where I eat day and night, not theme park trips where the meals are secondary to the rides and attractions. So she reminded me that I needed to think about the types of restaurants we planned to eat at (signature, dinner shows, etc. for 2 TS credits which would be a reason for deluxe plan) and if we wanted to spend more time at restaurants or at attractions. So I researched the restaurants before I finally booked, and discovered that with the character meals we want to take our children to, the regular plan was the way to go for us. Plus, it is easy to go for CS with our kids in the middle of the day for lunch. It works for us so we went with it. For others, the deluxe plan works because they go to several signature restaurants (which are supposed to be fantastic), dinner shows, and Cinderella's Royal Table. I have 2 boys so CRT is not a must-do for us. We are doing 1900 Park Fare instead because I read here that the entertainment is hilarious and even boys really enjoy it. And I love Cinderella, so I had to see her! We also wanted to check out the Grand Floridian and cannot afford to even stay in the broom closet in that resort, so this was a way to get to see it!!

3 meals per day, can be used as all TS or all CS or any combination. Lunch & dinner TS meals include appetizer, entree, drink & dessert. You also get 2 snacks per day and refillable mugs. As with the basic DDP, tips are no longer included.
