Dining Plan with timeshare

I'm thinking of renting points...how do you get the dining plan and how can I figure the cost ahead of time???

The member who rents the reservation for you will have to add the dining plan to your reservation for you. It must be done at least 48 hours before check in. Currently, you then pay for it at check in.

That will be changing in the fall when a system upgrade happens. The cost of the DDP for a points reservation in 2010 is the same as it is for regular guests, except if you go during a peak time. In those cases, you won't pay the $5.00 per guest additional charge. I believe that an adult is $41.99 and kids are $11.99. And, if Disney comes up with a discount like free dining, it will not apply to a points reservation.

For reservations in 2011, the price has not yet been released.

If you are flying, the person you rent from will also turn your airline information into Member Services for your Magical Express packet to be mailed to you. Make sure the DVC owner is aware of these responsibilities. It is more than just renting a room.
