Dining plan with Ticketmania tickets?

Anyone know if I can add the dining plan to my reservation if I already have tickets bought but not yet used?

I booked the free dining with a one day non-hopping ticket. I have left over tickets from last summer. You must purchase at least a one day ticket.

I was afraid of that. A 1-day ticket is relatively expensive though. What did you do with it?
Can you save it and upgrade it at a later date?
