Dining Plan With Children

We are going on the dining plan. I'm looking at Whispering Canyon for dinner. I know that the kids have to order from the kids menu when one is available. My question is....Do they get an appertizer? There aren't appetizers listed on the Childrens Menu.

My kids were able to order from the adult menu for the appetizers. We ate there twice on our last trip and did both times (with different servers). One server in particular was really encouraging us to order as much we could.

Some places allow kids to order apps from adult menu, some do not allow it.

I assume because some of the KIDS entrees already include a food item that could be considered an appitizer.

Thank you. My kids rarely sit down and eat whole meals 3 times a day. I am hoping that the meals will be big enough for them to share atleast occasionally so we can stretch it out and get them a couple of meals the last day we are there. Especially considering we are going to atleast one but probably 2 places that take 2 credits each. Any one have any suggestions for good counter services where the kids portion is more than a simple hotdog and a few fries?

Any thoughts about Coral Reef with kids?
