Dining Plan with another family?

We're travelling with another family who will not be on the dining plan. Will this cause problems/confusion when we all dine together? MY dh isn't too crazy about the new dining plan anyway, so I'm trying to eliminate any confusion before we leave. Also, what if we're all together and we're using the dining plan, and they're not, but we order wine, does the bill at the end of the meal become hopelessly confused? Thanks for any and all help.

I hate to sound negative but the dining plan did not work well for our trip last week with 12 people. Suppposedly one card should work to pay for 1 family, but Disney had put people in the wrong rooms on the wrong card, and refused to fix it. They told us to use 1 card per person to pay, which meant 12 seperate checks. Needless to say the waiters were never pleased to hear this news, and at one meal it took 45 minutes for them to process the cards. I'm sure it was just a fluke and many people are pleased with the dining plan. Have a great trip!

When we went (back in June), 7 of us were on the plan and 2 were not. We didn't run into any problems. Just be sure to tell them up front when you are seated - or even when you make your ADR.

We traveled and there were 6 of us total 2 were on the plan 4 were not and there weren't any problems at all. We just told the server ahead of time that they were on the plan and we weren't. They just do the checks as if you were in a large group and requested to pay seperatly.

We're in a group of 11. Four of us in the plan and the other seven not in the plan. Just getting ADR (PS?) for us the last time we all visited was complicated enough, never mind adding separate bills. I appreciate your responses!
