We-my husband and I- recently returned from a quick trip to Disneyworld after a cruise and did the dining plan "free" and stayed at Pop Century. Since I had a gastric bypass in 2004, I thought there would be a lot of food wasted. I should also add that I don't dump on sugars. We used our counter service for a breakfast platter--which we shared giving me the scrambled eggs and him the rest. We also shared another counter service for lunch and I had all the protein I could use. Cosmic Rays was a favorite to share, as was the flatbread-hummus at the food court. For our table service meals, we ate at the Chefs de France, Spoodles, and Hollywood and Vine. I did not order an appetizer anywhere except at France because I love ercargot. There were smaller entrees, but the leftover meat I took in a doggie bag and ate for a light snack. There were at all three of these things that I could eat and I didn't feel deprived, but keep in mind my operation is two years old. Desserts--I ordered them all and tasted them all, even ate half of one. I WAS BAD. I gave what I couldn't eat to my husband. The snack credits we used at the end of our trip for take-home-to-the-grandkids beef jerky. I enjoyed it and only gained three pounds on the cruise and the trip.

I am glad you enjoyed it. We are hoping to go in Feb. and if all goes well we hope to be expecting which if anything like my past ones I will have gestational diabetes so I am worried about keeping my sugars right with all the walking and stuff. They put me on a 6 small meals "snacks" a day instead of 3 meals the hard part for me will be turning down the desserts. I will get the sugar free options I guess but they just aren't the same. ha-ha Congrats on your surgery I hope it is working out well for you sounds like you got a handle on the small portions. Our cousin also had the surgery and has lost 150 pounds. She had hers in 2002 I think. Man I wish I couls loose that.
