Dining plan with 2 year old

I am planning a trip with my husband,9year old and daughter who will be 2 at the time we travel. I understand that she isn't an option under DDP. What happens with food for her? Do we pay OOP for a kids meal? She's an eater. I don't know if just sharing with her will work. If I have to pay OOP, what's the average kids meal cost?

For CS, if she needs her own meal you can pay OOP. The typical CS kids meal is around $5. For TS it depends: buffets/family style/all you can eat meals she eats for free. If you order off a menu, she can either share off your plates or you can order a meal for her. TS kids meals are around $8-9.

We have ordered the Kids meal or ordered an extra side and paid OOP. Usually they will bring an extra plate if asked and you can use a snack credit for an extra soft drink or milk.

I was able to add my 4 year to the dining plan a few years ago when he was 2. He is a big eater. Of course if you eat at alot of buffet style meals there is no charge for under 3. Otherwise yes you would have to pay out of pocket for her meals.

And often, the CMs don't even charge for the drinks if they're sharing your plate (at least that's been our experience).

When we went with our son (he was 2 at the time of travel, but turned 3 while at Disney) we did a lot of plate sharing and I booked us a lot of buffets (under 3 can have a plate for free at buffets). For lunches, we brought PB&J uncrustables into the park (we had a fridge at a mod) which worked great for us, since that was he wanted most anyway!!
