We purchased the dining plan ( just easier to pay on them, then come up with wads of cash when we get there) But where is this breakfast in the park location?

Also do all the resturants that have carecter meals have breakfast lunch and dinner? or a select few?

thanks

From what I found out while deciding if the dining plan was for me, "breakfast in the park" is just vouchers for a certain amount, that you can use at a list of counter service locations.

When I was looking at it, I actually thought it meant the Minnie b'fast, and I couldn't imagine doing 3 character meals (we had one with the dining plan, one from Costco Travel, and that, so I thought), it was just too much. Later, after i canceled, I found out it was just vouchers.

Character meals of the top of my head...

Breakfast:
Ariel's at DCA
Minnie's (Plaza) at DL
Chip and Dale's (Storyteller's) at GCH
Lilo and Stitch (PCH Grill) at Paradise Pier
Goofy's at DLH

Lunch:
*i think*
Ariel's
Goofy's

Dinner:
Goofy's at DLH
*i think* Ariel's

It's not the fanciest breakfast in the park, and there arn't any characters there, but the River Belle Terrace has always held a special place in my heart. As a kid, we almost always went there for breakfast and I'd always get a Mickey Mouse Pancake. We didn't do character breakfasts as a kid (I didn't even know about them until 2001) but seeing Mickey smiling at me from my plate was always a fun way to start the day. The lines are usually fairly short, the food is good and I've not seen that pancake (Done that way) at any other resturant in any other Disney park I've been to. For me, the character breakfasts are nice to do once per trip (Helps keep it special) and then I hit the RBT at least once (or twice :) )as well to revisit one of my favorite childhood memories.

I don't feel like I missed out on anything not having had a character breakfast until I was an adult. IMHO, it dosen't have to be elaborate to be special.

We used our "breakfast in the park" vouchers in Tomorrowland.

They had 3-4 options, eggs, bacon, potatoes, um, some fruit plate and I think one with sausage or something with a muffin? It has been awhile.

We have also used them at Riverbelle, they have an exact amount they are worth on the back, we just added them all up for what we got.

Thank you all so much!!
I am glad to know its the river bell terrace. I love that place. we had breakfast there once and loved it. with the vouchers havign 3 meals with carecters for my 6 year old he will be thrilled. I know we have to make reservations 60 days in advance ? Thank you all again for your help :)

We used our breakfast in the park vouchers for the Minnie and Friends Breakfast. They will credit your vouchers towards the meal and you just have to pay the difference. We did that is 2005 and then again last December.

do you happen to know the times these places open? thanks :)

It depends on the time the park opens, I believe the counter service places open close to opening time. We used those 'Breakfast in the Parks' vouchers at Riverbelle Terrace and Tomorrowland Terrace when we got to the park at opening.

How was Minnie and friends breakfast? If you have been to Goofy's kitchen, how does it compare??

We liked Goofy's Kitchen alot better. When we went in 2005 We had a good experience at Minnie's. We didn't really care for Minnie's this time (Dec 2007). It was still ok....but we went because the kids could see the characters, and we could apply our breakfast vouchers to the meal. We were stuck out side this time and the wind was blowing and the characters didn't come around as much. We went to Goofy's kitchen twice this last visit. My boys (including my husband :)) had a lot of fun both times. The boys liked getting up and dancing with goofy and pluto (my boys are 5,7, and 1) The characters spent more time at the tables then at Minnie's. It could have just been our experience this time though who knows :) Everyone in our group liked the food choices better at Goofy's Kitchen though.
