Just wondering about the basic dining plan- I know lunch and dinner include dessert and drink. Can we have an entree at one place and stop at another time for a drink and dessert?

How viable is it for a family of five to eat less more often(split counter meals for lunch and breakfast?

What about a five year old who doesn't always eat? If we are at a table service meal and she doesn't want to eat will we still have to order and pay for her?

Can my daughter(10)and I share a meal at ts resturaunt?

Do snacks feed more than one person?

Just trying to figure out how to do this without carring alot of snacks around.
My kids are grazers and eat often(hypogycemic) we also travel alot and they hate kids meal(nuggets, pizza, fries ect). Just noticed most of the ts places we have picked out are 2 ts meals!

Thanks for all your help!

No. You can't split up your credits. At table service, everything must be ordered in tlhe same transaction. It's possible you may be able to return for your dessert at a counter service, but not hours later (this was posted by those who were worried that a frozen dessert would melt if it was taken at the same time as the entree).

If you are looking for monetary value, it's best that you not have any credits left over at the end of your trip. If you can plan it so that you can split meals and still use all your credits, it may work just fine.

If you are at a buffet or an all-you-can-eat meal, yes. At those types of meals, everyone at the table age 3 and over must order. In a regular menu restaurant, then you won't have to order for her.

Don't know that one for sure but I believe it is permitted.

In 2008, snack credits can be used only on single serving items. Depending on what the snack is, you could probably split it, but you can spend the credits only on items designed to be a single serving.

I'd assume you're aware that the children's dining plan credits must be used for meals off the children's menus.

The best option for mixing up the entree and dessert choices are at the resort CS places. There you gather your food from the various areas then go to one register to pay. So get a pizza then grab your bottled drink and Mickey bar from the Grab & Go section and pay for it all. We were allowed to go back at the end of our meal to pick up those frozen treats, but if its too busy for a CM to track you, don't be offended if they decline to let you do that. Unfortunately there are those who would take advantage of that courtesy and the CM may have to decline your request.
