Hola! My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th honeymoon in Feb and taking the vacation we could not afford 20 years ago to Disney. We have a room booked at ASM since it is just the 2 of us with possible plans to jump to Caribbean Beach based in packages offered.

Basing on the last few years play stay dine and factoring the prices of the of value versus moderate, it's a $500 difference. Even if we paid out of pocket for Ohana and Boma we still have a $300 difference.

Does anyone know what the dining price difference would be if we stayed value but upped to the dining plan from the QS Plan?

We just got hit with an unexpected $2,000 truck repair and even though Martin said spend it, I keep thinking of the savings and then adding the Keys to he Kingdom tour.

PS: This will be our 5th trip since 2005 and we go back in 2017 with the kids.

For 2016, the price difference between QS and regular dining plan is $19/adult/night.

Thanks! That is what I was figuring but wasn't sure. It still saves $300 even with the upgrade which is awesome. I hope They include ASM in the packages, it's my favorite value.

That's what we are paying $19 a day to go from Quick to Plus. We are staying at POP. We are taking a second honeymoon after 27 years in September. (can't wait)

Enjoy your 2nd honeymoon!!! I am looking forward to showing my husband "MY" Disney. When we go with the kids they all do thrill rides which I can't do so I do all the other fun stuff.

Same here. This is going to be a very relaxing trip. We are doing the Halloween Party one night, going to California Grill one night (our travel agent suggested that) then watching fire works from there, and doing The Key to the Kingdom tour. We only have a couple of FP rest of the time were just doing what ever we feel like.

That's what we did during FD. We upgraded to the DDP and paid the difference it still saved us than if we booked a mod.

The Stay/Play/Dine has a different discount configuration than just regular free dining. Are PPs sure that the upgrade from QS to DDP is the same cost it would be if it were free dining? I don't know, and don't remember what people reported last year.

I can't make the DP be a "savings" with two guests.

yes, it's hard to see actual savings on the DDP with two adults. But I do see here and there that some folks just like the prepayment aspect and are willing to possibly pay extra for that.

I don't believe it is, because with SPD you are partially paying for the dining plan, it wasn't "free."

I am hoping to see where I pay the child's portion then the difference between the 2 adults plans. That would be about $40 for each of us or $80 a day. When we eat at Ohana or Boma the bill is usually over the $80 a day plus we get a table service and snack. And my husband wants to eat Ohana every day. LOL

I am hoping someone who had the PSD with an upgrade will chime in.
