Dining plan totals and thoughts!

Well, I finally added up my receipts from our "free" dining plan!! We got $1,014.72 for FREE!! All in all good food--you can read some of my bad experiences on this board--didnt get to the good yet! All in all the food was good, service was as a whole not so great- even where we had good dining experiences any refills were hard to come by!! I think the TS resturants were just too packed!! We really came out ahead even if we would have paid 35/adult and 10/kid==$90.00/day-- $630.00 for 7 nights --so thats $385 that would have been saved had we paid!! We really didnt maximize the plan either many times we didnt get dessert--the kids got kids meals even for CS (could have had adult meals but wanted kids) we ate at some buffets and character meals which cost less$$ on the plan!1 So for adults of people Maximizing they could save even more!! I dont know if I would BUY the plan next time, because I did feel trapped in a few restuarants when I wanted to get out and enjoy the parks and shows!! If it was ever offered for free again I think I would do it, but plan less TS meals that could be drawn out over 2-3 hours-- maybe more buffets andplaying it by ear!! We had 7 days at disney (plus 1 at Sea World) I think If only I had 2-3 more days at the disney parks we could have been more satisfied with what we had done!! Well there is always next time!! Also my totals above didnt include the 3 CS and 6 snack credits we never got to use!!! Trying to decide when the next time can be (SHHH!! Dont tell DH yet!!)
