Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase the dining plan with your tickets if your reservation for hotel was made elsewhere? I purhchased hotel and air through travelocity.

Ok, Now I am confused. What do you have to buy as a package?
1.The tickets & dining
2 the hotel & tickets
3 the hotel & dining
4 the hotel, tickets & dining?

We traded in to DVC & now are trying to figure out how to buy the tickets & add the dining plan. Does it all have to be for teh same amount of days?

If I am not mistaken, you must buy a MYW package, which would include park tickets and a stay at a WDW resort. Then you can add the DP if you so choose. I have no idea how this works for DVC members as originally they weren't included in the DP.

I'm planning my DVC trip. I"m renting points. From what I understand, DVC'ers and renters can get the dining plan as an add on without the package. So I plan to buy my tickets from a broker and add on the package. For others who are staying at a non-DVC onsite resort, they have to buy a MYW package, which includes room and tickets, and if you choose the dining plan.

HTH.

If you are staying in DVC you can add a meal plan to your reservation but it must be done prior to check in and through the DVC member services. The cost for the dining plan is $37.99 per adult and 10.99 per child (3-9) per night. The plan must be purchased for everyone staying in the room and for the entire length of your stay. For example if you have 4 adults staying for 6 nights your cost would be $911.76 or $227.94 per person. You would be entitled to 24 snacks, 24 counter service meals and 24 table service meals for the room. You can eat separately or as a group and can be used any way you like. The plan is pretty flexible, can be used at a wide variety of restaurants at WDW and you will definitely have more than enough food.

Snacks - bottled water, soda, popcorn, ice cream, fruit.

Counter service meals - entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverage.

Table service meals - appetizer, entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage.

Hope this helps. :cool2:
