dining plan start

hi guys my first post so be gentle
i have the free dining plan booked for august i check in about 2100 so will i have any credits for that day or do they only start the day after there are four adults in the plan though two are children we are staying for 14 nights how many credits will we have in total.

You will have 1TS, 1CS and 1 snack credit for each night of your stay for each person. They may be used however you wish up until midnight of the day you check out. In your case if you are there 14 nights each person will have 14 credits in each category. This will give you 56 of each total for a group of 4. Are you saying that the 2 children will be considered adults for the plan due to their ages? In that case your room key will show 4A for the dining plan. Your receipts will show how many of each credit you have left after you use them each time.

Hi Garry,

You can use them as soon as you check in!! You don't use them on daily basis as such, for example if you are staying for say,10 nights you will have 40 x counter service 40 x Snack and 40 x Table Service. You can use them all in one day if you like!!!

How did you get free dining already? Is it available or did you have a special coupon or something?

I've got free dining too (UK resident) for 14 days which is tons of food, we have assumed we will not eat TS on first or last days and our shopping day so are doing CRT and HDeDoo which are both 2 credits which leaves us a TS for all the remaining days. I don't think we would have been able to spend them all otherwise so it's worth looking into the 2 credit meals as you arrive so late!

I would be very interested in knowing if the free dining you received is a coupon or a deal that is available. I am going to WDW October 2-9th, so would be overjoyed if free dining is available at that time. I have already booked through WDW reservations, but should I still be able to get free dining when/if it becomes available by callingand requesting it?

I already have FREE DINING booked for August, too. I was able to book it while I was there in December! It doesn't look good for your dates. You would have to check in by 9/29 LATEST in order to be eligible. (dates were 8/5-9/29...but of course, that could change once it's offered to the general public)

Thanks for that info! I hope that the dates extend in to when I have planned. That would be fabulous! More money to spend on beverages that are not included in the plan ;o)

Unfortunately the Free DDP promo has not included your dates. However if you checked in a little earlier they usually let you continue under the plan you check in on. In 2005 it was offered through 9/30. We checked in on 9/30 and were able to continue on the free DDP throughout our stay till 10/6. Best of luck to you.
