Hi all...I've looked over the first thread posted about all the new things you can now get with your Snack Credits. I guess I'd like to know those who have used them this way and have you been told no about anything? Say if you go to the Main Street Bakery and get 4 rolls and you tell them you want to use 4 snack credits? Is that all you have to say?

We went for the first time last June on with the dining plan and loved it - being our first time I did a lot of research and maybe haven't done as much this time so I feel a bit "out of the loop" this year with what goes and won't work with dining plan.

Thanks for any info - advice!

You have it right. Just tell them how many snack credits to deduct off your card.

Use the credits to your advantage. A snack is just about anything up to $4. So don't use credits on $1 OR $2 Items. Just pay for those and use the credits for $3 or $4 items. Don't forget you can use them for some breakfast items. At the POR food court you could use a credit for a bagel and cream cheese.

This sounds great...certainly a change from when we were there June 2005, snacks were water / popcorn / mickey ice cream bar. Has anyone had trouble with any places telling them no on the snack credits?

Thanks!

Last week we went to the main street bakery and ordered two french toat loaves and two choco milks and said 4 snack credits please. no problem. and very very delicious!

We found everything in our early October trip to be very clearly marked - if it wasn't no one ever had a problem checking. The only time I was told no was when I asked if we could use them for the mickey uncooked mac and cheese and the dry pasta as they were under $4 and we had a ton of snack credits to use up. Fair enough they didn't scan in, can't blame them, you sure can't eat them as a snack out of the box :rotfl: What I did was buy a ton of little boxes of mickey mints which I also buy lots of when I leave anyway. We ended up with lots because we paid for drinks like pop or water OOP because they were just so much less than the $4 value.

No wait - we were told no to the halloween decorated rice krispie treats in the store at POP but I was able to use snack credits at the German Pavillion in Epcot to get them :confused3

There were a few snack carts that wouldn't take the DDP cards, but they were clearly marked so you knew when you walked up.

Don't forget that you can use the card for full size items at the food courts. You can buy large size bags of snacks and donuts, not just single serve size!

As a tip, sometimes, like at Main Street Bakery or Starring Roles, I would ask first what was considered a snack - that let them know right away that we were dining plan and also made it easier than me having to ask about specific items...

We won't be going until Aug. Is there a sticker or something on the menu board that tells you that it is snack item.
