Can anyone recommend good counter service meals to share for breakfast or lunch to make these go further? My husband and I will both be on the plan, and I thought we might try this if we could find some meals with good amounts of food. Thanks!

Lots of sharing ops for lunch. The chk/ rib combo at Cosmic Rays, Double cheeseburgers w/ fries are a couple. Ive heard about a resort food court breakfast platter that was ample. Really, if you are light eaters, anything can be split:confused3 Lots of people also use a snack credit for a yogurt parfait or a muffin:teacher:

We split the chicken and ribs at Cosmic Rays - it was more than enough. Places I wish we had split - Cantina del San Angel, the combination platter is big. Flatbread Grill - The bbq pork sandwich was very big and so was the foot long chili dog. Pizzafari and Pizza Planet - split pizza, salad, and dessert. Pop Century - all the breakfast platters were huge. You really can split just about any meal. You get a large drink, entree and dessert with every CS. You can always use a snack credit to order an extra side dish too.

My daughter and I shared almost every CS. We ate the double cheese burger with fries a few times and also shared pizzas. Another great place to share is Wolf Gang's Express at DTD. We always had enough with the fries and desert.

If you are at cosmic rays or pecos bills, they have great fixins to go along with the burgers, etc.
:thumbsup2

For breakfast, most of the resort food courts have a breakfast "platter," that looked pretty big. Even the pancakes looked like a pretty big serving.

It's not exactly a big meal, but you can get 2 items and a beverage at the Main Street Bakery in the MK. They have muffins, pastries, donuts and even breakfast sandwiches with eggs and meat. The only restriction was only one "savory" item allowed. So you could get 1 savory + 1 sweet or 2 sweets. For your beverage, you could get the usual milk, juice, soft drinks and I think coffee.

Another thing you can do, since its two adults sharing, is to utilize your snack credits. At breakfast get a platter using a CS and then get a cinnamon roll, or fruit cup, or yogurt using a Snack Credit.

We bring some breakfast food along too. That makes the credits go further!

Have a great trip!

We used snack credits for breakfast one morning here, for the french toast loaf and a cinnamon roll, and that was plenty. We bought beverages separately. Are you saying we could use one CS credit for an egg & bacon type breakfast sandwhich, plus get a cinnamon roll and coffee included? That would feed two or three of us! Do they have a kid's breakfast anywhere in the parks?

I know when we stopped in one morning, my kids picked out a chocolate chip muffin and a plastic container with 2 Krispy Kreme donuts in it. I used 2 snack credits (the 2 donuts counted as 1), but the cashier asked if I was using a snack or CS credit, because I could have added a beverage if I wanted to use a CS. I noticed the breakfast sandwiches (croissants, I think), but it didn't occur to me that one of those, one "sweet" (mmm, french toast loaf) and a beverage was a typical CS meal until I read it here on another post. Now the limitation of only 1 "savory" item makes sense--that would be like getting 2 sandwiches and a drink instead of a sandwich, a dessert and a drink.

It seems to me there was somewhere in the MK that had CS breakfasts, but I can't find any menus (kids or otherwise) or remember where I saw it. According to allearsnet.com, ABC Commissary at MGM has a couple of kids' breakfasts (scrambled eggs, hash browns and a biscuit or pancakes), the Electric Umbrella at Epcot has breakfasts, but no separate kids' breakfasts (then again, that menu hasn't been updated since 12/05, so things may have changed), and the Tusker House at AK has breakfasts, but no separate kids' breakfasts (allears menu date 6/06).

I'm still hoping to be able to use 1 kids' CS credit for the Main Street Bakery--any recent visitors know whether they're allowing this now that the credits are split?

If you are light breakfast eaters, the snack credit that buys a whole box of donuts at most resort food courts is the best value.

I snack credit could buy breakfast, albeit not a healthy one, for two for 2-3 days easily. Add coffee
and you are set.

Just about any CS meal can be split between 2 normal sized adults. You won't
be "stuffed" to the gills, but you will be full enough that you won't
be hungry in two hours.

Any of the EPCOT CS meals are easily large enough to share.

I kind of don't understand the purpose though... I could understand trying to make them go further if you could stretch them out over more days, but you can't. Do you mean so you can try more restaurants? Share a meal at Cosmic Rays, then share another one at Pecos Bills so you can try them both out?

Oh, maybe I get it -- I suppose if you're doing some 2TS meals, you might want to stretch the CS's out to cover days where you won't have a TS. Other than though though, there are two people, and you'll get two meals whether you share both between you or each just have one, it's the same amount of food.

Ohhh -- or even when you are doing a TS, maybe you want to use a CS for breakfast and lunch both? So you'll share. Ok, that makes sense too. Kind of -- we brought breakfast bars and juice to have before we headed out in the morning, and on the few days when we bought breakfast, the items were all very reasonable, so we just paid OOP. Seems like dollar for dollar, having a light OOP breakfast, then each eating your own CS lunch would be a better value than sharing one breakfast and one lunch. I"m average size, and I had no problem finishing my CSs. I probably would have been hungry if we'd shared. I'd have survived, sure, but definitely been cranky and hungry. All that walking worked me up an appetite I guess!! Plus having to keep track of it.... Not worth the bother for me. But I'm lazy like that when I'm on vacation. :)

I know at the POFQ food court they have a half chicken dinner with 2 sides and corn bread that was big enough to share between 2 healthy appetites, especially when you add on dessert.

At Sunshine Seasons in the land in Epcot, some of their meals (especially the asian ones) are large enough for 2 moderate appetites.

At some of the resorts they offer a breakfast pizza which my mom and I found large enough to satisfy our morning hunger - and the idea of using a snack credit for a fruit bowl to add to it is a good one.

Another option - if you have a fridge in the room - is to get a sandwich the night before (and pick up a fruit bowl for dessert) to share. That way you don't have to use an additional snack credit.
