Dining Plan Questions (not the free one)

I am NOT talking about the Free Dining Plan thing....I want to know about the dining plan when you have to pay for it. We are going in January and so far at least there are no free plans offered.

Because I cannot decide if it is really worth it. We are a family of four - kids are 14 & 11 so they are "adults" as far as Disney is concerned. So it would be $140 per day for our family!

My 14 year old will definately eat his $35 worth and maybe even some of my daughter's. But there is no way she will ever eat $35. And...we never order desert or an appetizer and with this plan we would get 4! I picture us all coming back weighing in at sumo wrestler weight!

Have some of you used it so that you only ate the 2 meals per day? (1 counter service and 1 sit down?) If so, how did you eat? We are breakfast eaters....we don't usually eat a big breakfast...but both my hubby and I believe in the "you need breakfast to have a good day" mentality.

How are the dining plan breakfasts at counter service places?

If you haven't picked up on it, I am just in a total state of confusion on this (not a new situation for me unfortunately). I would appreicate all the help you guys can give me!

Don't forget you can also split meals, say split two cs for breakfast and then two for lunch.

And you can do the same at dinner. Split 2 table service, this would also afford you the oppurtunity to eat a signature restaurant or a dinner show.

You also don't have to order and app and dessert if you don't want to.

Even the buffets are in the 25/a piece range for adults. But the best way would be to go the menus on allears and figure what you would spend if you didn't have the plan and then see if it's a deal for you.
