Dining Plan Question

DH now just tells me to do what I want...he says though it's a lot of food and some people we know did it and could'nt finish everything and wasted a lot.

Anyhow one day we are going offsite so I'm not sure if the dining plan is a good deal? If we go to IoA for one day say for 8 hours that's 8 hours without eating. We'd have to eat breakfast in the morning then dinner in the evening and maybe just a little something during the day. Is that too much strain?

I was going to suggest to use your TS for a buffet breakfast but I remembered you don't eat breakfast. You could use some snack options before you leave for IOA fruit, water, etc. or end up buying 1 counter service to share at IOA to hold you over.

I would change to the dining plan right now before he changes his mind.

Oh it's not that we don't eat breakfast - we are doing a character breakfast one day and hope that will hold us over until dinner (maybe with a snack in between). It's just I think usually we'll just do two meals a day and most of the time that will probably be just lunch and dinner... even though DH last week (who never eats breakfast ever) said he'll eat breakfast because he's on vacation :earseek: So Mr. Save Money just said he wants to eat breakfast :sad2: Yeah I need to call Disney to see if I can even get the plan. We booked through AAA. I image Disney will want my $$$ though.

You won't be disappointed with the plan if you go with it. I've been discussing your trip with FH, because he can't believe that your husband was thinking you'd spend less than $35/person/day. When we finally go for our honeymoon trip in a couple years, we'll be budgeting $100/person/day.

At that, you'll have to decide ASAP if you want to do this. You'll need to make new plans for dining. If you feel you're having too much food, do what we'd do - go to a Signature restaurant and share 1 appetizer, 1 entree, and 1 dessert - add extra tip, though (we're locals, so don't do the MYW, but we often share meals). You can do the same with your CS credits - share the entree, size, dessert, and maybe eat breakfast and lunch that day with the CS credits.

on your off site day you can easily eat an early breakfast using your counter service for the day, than use cash for lunch whereever you are, and schedule a LATE dinner at a table service for when you return. We did the late dinners on extra magic hour nights so that we could last till 1 a.m. LOL.

Even if you don't order EVERY item available, you will not regret having the plan. Since you only get one counter service a day, you can split those between you and get breakfast and lunch and not waste.
