Dining Plan Question

Hi Paul, $4 surcharge is during busy/peak times. We are going 17/05 and i think the $4 kicks in the following week

Rob

Yes Paul as Rob says its all the peak times, Xmas, Easter Etc. I said I would never pay it but Boma was paid for us for a thank you and Trails end by DMIL.

Agree with Paul about offsite they are all good plus we like Texas Roadhouse, Mimis cafe, Sweet Tomatoes & Chilis among others.

Don't think I would ever pay for DDP but might change my mind after trying it free. Also depends how the £ goes. We have paid £91/night for OKW with free DDP so it was as cheap as offsite and paying for food. No worrys about which way the £ goes now its booked.
We don't eat starters or drink alcohol so will just cost us the tip.
Hope your weekend improves, doesn't sound great so far.

Probably wonlt do DDP, might take cab and eat off site a bit...any suggestions appreciated.

Tony Romas is great if you like ribs, and Cheesecake Factoryhas a huge menu and I have never had a bad mouthful of food there (the burgers are too die for!).

After 20 trips these 2 are still to try. We still have so many places we want to eat at but DDP is stopping us this time. Need to book another trip.:)

Thought the surcharge was only during the xmas period?

Off site
Outback
Orlando alehouse
Olive garden
Mannays
Smokey bones
Hard rock cafe
logans roadhouse
Chickfila(daytime when sick of burgers)
Paulh

thanks for the suggestions Paul. Am staying at HRH, assume that is where the HR cafe is?

No problem I enjoyed seeing all that food.:cloud9:

We really have not put any thought into it yet. We have 16 days of food to plan while at OKW. These are what we have on our list off top of our head but we need to look more closely at menus/reviews so some could be replaced yet and more need to be added. Never plan food more than 2 hours before we eat so this is going to be a totally different holiday for us.
If we are still hungry after 16 days of free DDP we are on a Disney cruise for 7 nights then. Whats the record for weight gain in 25 nights?:rotfl2:

Chef Mickeys

Boma

Trails End

Ohana

Grand Floridian 1900 Park Fare

Mama Melrose

Hollywood & Vine

Tutto Italia

Whispering Canyon Cafe

Crystal Palace

Hoop Dee Doo
OR
Disney's Spirit of Aloha

Great choices; After 2 weeks on dining plan I didn't think I'd ever eat again-we had credits left-and believe me with 2 teenagers we can eat!!!

Note to self - I need to read this thread in more detail as I love food and have food on the brain 24/7.
I love the Cheesecake factory, if you like Chinese food PF Changs (Mall at Millenia is fab and great value for money - even with a poor exchange rate).
Pooh just reading your Glutony report - fantastic, getting lots of ideas for our trip. I am on WW at the mo after baby number 2 so would like to lose at least 7lb over where I want to be in readiness for our trip.

Can anyone tell me if the new T-Rex resturant in DTD is on the DDP? I thought I heard it was but cant see it on the list? :confused3

Thanks.

I heard it was a possibilty but as you say its not on the list yet. Is it too late for them to join now?
I guess with it being new and a novelty they don't need to join, give it a year or so when teh newness wear off then they might join in.

Glad you are enjoying the report!!

I am now trying to lose my Christmas weight and then some, ready for the next trip!! If you get stuck on the weight loss, or just need to talk to people also suffering with dieting, no will power etc, there is a thread on here all about dieting, exercise etc. Its quite good for motivation! This is a link to it if you want to come play anytime!!

Hi Sonya
I have just finished your report - FANTASTIC! A girl after my own heart. I love the way it was written and judging by the responses you have lots of food fans.
My boys also love their food. My DS (9 months screams if he sees food and knows he is about to be fed then he grabs the spoon so he can shove it into his mouth even faster :rotfl:
I don't think I would have been as polite as you when those people were laughing about you taking pictures of your food I would have told them where to go. But then again my 2 little ones would be in tow so maybe not :rotfl2:

Thanks for the thread I am going to have a look at this tonight when the little ones are in bed. I managed to get your report all finished today when the little one was fast off. I was very impressed by the sundaes at Ghiradelli's. When I am being good I normally go for the chocolate strawberries - well they count towards your 5 a day - hang on due to the size they should count as all of your portions of fruit and veg for the day :rotfl:

We are (fingers crossed with DH's job) off to the POFQ for 2 weeks in August, I am so jealous as I notice that you are doing the DCL this year. We did the Wonder in 06 you will love it, and all that food :woohoo:

We absolutely love it there and always go there on our last night. I think the portions are fine, and I'm a big eater!! There are a few pictures towards the end of my review in the link below, if you want to see more!!

This just posted on another forum, almost everytime I see Raglan rd mentioned its not good.

Completely agree with you on this. We left hungry too. It was one awful dining experience.

DW was talking to a friend of hers that has been and said they will never go back so thats it now she is not even going to try it. I was willing to try.

Thats so surprising to me! I have hardly ever seen a bad review of it, and loved it the 3 times we have been! Oh well, we're all different!! All the more guiness ribs left for me!

I am always trying to convince people that chocolate fruit still counts as fruit (including orange creams in the Quality Street?!)!! With you on board maybe we stand a chance!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly, we can't all like the same places.
Some don't like Trails End, but I love it, a plate piled high with peel and eat shrimp, plate of salad, bowl of chilli, and a plate or 2 full of ribs, my perfect meal.

Is it too much? I will cut the salad out next time.:goodvibes
Glad we are in business class, after 25 nights of DDP & cruise. I wouldn't fit in an economy seat.:)

Flying business class....now I am worried, the master of budget holidays has sold his sole to the dark side....hang on, you probably only paid £100 per ticket :rotfl2:
