Hi there,

Does anyone know if Earl of Sandwich, Raglan Road and Chefs De France are on the Disney dining plan for 2009 please? We are thinking of adding it onto our package for the first time when we goin May, but these are three of our favourite places and currently I can't see them on the 2009 list on this website!

I'm not going to book it if they're not on it!

I have tried emailing Disney to ask, but the website keeps crashing on me!
Thanks!

Earl of.S. is but your other fav's aren't. :sad2: there is a full list on disney's website.

When I looked just before Xmas a few had not signed up for 2009 but looks like they have now.

We considered Raglan road for Aug but when I found reviews and photos of what people had recieved they looked small portions, anyone eaten there? Our American friends didn't like it there, but I know many do.

We absolutely love it there and always go there on our last night. I think the portions are fine, and I'm a big eater!! There are a few pictures towards the end of my review in the link below, if you want to see more!!

the non disney owend resturants tend to sign up late in the day.this is contractual ie trying to get the best deal to sign on.
personly think this year a few more might plan on joining up, if not this year then next.
if atendance down resturants will be down, and if on any of the plans those will get more service as i think disney will be useing the dinning plans as a tool to bring in people
As for raglen road we have enjoyed it there both on the plan and when paying

Just tried to skim thru your reviews but got caught up reading many :rotfl2:

From the few I have just read you seem to have very simlilar tastes to me. Love the Chilli at Trails end(I think its great value and always got a seat without reservation)
Not impressed with Zebra domes at Boma.

How on earth are you 2 the sizes you are? you eat more than me and I am twice the size.:rotfl:

Eventually found your Raglan road pics, I just don't like the look of food I see there, it must be better than it looks but we will have enough places to eat at without it.

Sorry, should have done the decent thing and mentioned RR was towards the end!!!!

Yes there's no shortage of places to eat!!! Where are you planning on going?

No problem I enjoyed seeing all that food.:cloud9:

We really have not put any thought into it yet. We have 16 days of food to plan while at OKW. These are what we have on our list off top of our head but we need to look more closely at menus/reviews so some could be replaced yet and more need to be added. Never plan food more than 2 hours before we eat so this is going to be a totally different holiday for us.
If we are still hungry after 16 days of free DDP we are on a Disney cruise for 7 nights then. Whats the record for weight gain in 25 nights?:rotfl2:

Yes we do. We find it difficult to find places thats do dishes that we all like, usually buffets have something for us all. Also hate waiting for food. Where some people like to take time and make an evening of a meal we like to get done and back to the parks. But like I say this is all a new experience and no thought gone into it yet, might remove some and go for more traditional table service,
Offsite we have changed our eating habits from Buffets to finding places like chilis, Mimi's cafe, Texas Roadhouse so might cut down on buffets for the DDP meals, more research to be done.

We are doing a three week trip (including cruise) for the first time, and I am terrified about how much weight I am going to put on! At least there's a gym on the Magic!

Your restaurants are looking good - I'm really looking forward to trying Ohana's this time!

Hi Wayne, we have done some of your provisionals. We stayed at WL but was not impressed with the food at WC. CP is the best in MK, was pleasantly surprised by the steak at MM, service was slow though. Chef Mickeys was ok, Ohana was good, Boma one of my favs, H & V ok but nothing special; bit noisey. When you stayng at OKW?

Hi Rob. How are you?
We are OKW 6th-22nd August, cruise 22-29th, end with 2 nights not booked yet but DW & DS want to go back to AKL again, only if rate drops drastically though, paid £81/night last year and I don't think its worth anymore.

We ate at Boma in August, I loved it, DW & DS didn't, they found food but not impressed.
Went back again at Xmas and still enjoyed but nowhere near as much as 1st time. Also with the poor exchange and $4pp Xmas surcharge didn't feel it was worth the $35, £24pp(+tip). Enjoyed trails end twice as much(all of us did) and that only worked out at £16pp again included $4pp surcharge.

have done the buffets a few times, and to be honest find them quite bland after a while.Bomas is ok.
But we like to enjoy our evening and the food part is important(been many times so park time not a worry)were one of the ones who put aside the evening for food

Hi Wayne, we good thanks...strange day, no hot water, washing machine and dishwasher both broke today and email account down!

Haven't tried Trails End but as we are staying at VWL for 5 nights this year we will have to get the boat across and try it out. We are renting DVC points this year and the member suggested a trip to Campground is worthwhile.

We have yet to have to pay the $4 pp surcharge but this year we will have to, this combined with the $ and the reduction in value for DDP makes the food much more pricey on site. We did DDP in 2007, and I worked out that with the increase in DDP cost, the absence of a entree and the tip, this, if memory serves correct, is about a 43% increase over 2007 for DDP.:scared1: Just did some rough maths, in 2007 DDP cost us £19 each but this year with dollar at, say $1.50 it would be £36 for the three courses....goodness need another drink :drinking1 Probably wonlt do DDP, might take cab and eat off site a bit...any suggestions appreciated.

Thought the surcharge was only during the xmas period?

Off site
Outback
Orlando alehouse
Olive garden
Mannays
Smokey bones
Hard rock cafe
logans roadhouse
Chickfila(daytime when sick of burgers)
